No math to defend it but guessing we’ve also secured the national seed at this point. We could probably lose the final 5 games and the QF of the ACCT and still be top 8. Amazing season for Ramsey and the boys.

I started to ponder something to this effect, yes. I wonder if what you say is true? I'm sure we won't have to find out. All intents & purposes... yes... solidly in as a national seed.

If you'd have told me at beginning of season... thru 26 conference games... there would be a team with 19 wins, I would have said... lock that team in as conference champs. Well that team right now is UNC.. who probably needs to win out & get help from Duke & BC to get there.

I can't show my work, and I agree that we won't have to find out, but I believe this is a true statement. Worst case we would be 21-10 in conference, 41-14 overall, and I suspect that would be enough for a top 8 seed.

Wake has won 6 straight since they played us, and they are sneaking back into the hosting conversation. Had they taken just one of the games from us I think they would be sitting in a host spot right now.

Actually I told you this would be the best Tech team we’ve ever had and you said to calm down simmer expectations ;)

I'm still can't say the best team ever at Tech. Not that important to me to figure out if 1952 football is better than 2026 baseball or not. But this baseball team is in the discussion (for now).

Keep keeping your receipts ... I like that .

Granted if I wouldn’t have attended some fall ball games and been live for all the games up up until making that statement I probably wouldn’t have made it, but you could tell a different energy with this group even in February and the fact Burress was hitting .254 yet we were still leading the country in every offensive category was pretty spectacular.

Can probably say best offensive baseball team in GT history relative to contemporaneous competition. Not best pitching.

As to football, basketball or golf or ___________ who knows. We've had some really great football teams relative to the competition at the time. Today's average ACC football team would probably beat the best we had more than 30 years ago due to athletes being so much better.

We are good enough if we win a regional.

I love your attitude & I am enjoying this historic season, but this team will have to make major noise in the postseason to even be in the conversation as "best Tech team we've ever had".

looking at the current ACC Baseball standings, I think 9 teams are legitimately in NCAA conversation. Obviously still a weekend to go and ACC tournament. But since SEC is pegged for up 12, I hope we can get to that number.

Vandy lost the series to Mizzou this weekend. RPI down to 74. They’re done. So if they were one of the 12 then you can mark that down to 11.
