There was some discussion in the postgame thread yesterday whether Haynes King would go down as a Tech legend or “just” a great QB who led us out of the darkness of the clown and laid the groundwork for a better future for Tech football.

Diego Pavia showed what a legendary career looks like. Belt to *** in your rival’s backyard to snap a 6-game rivalry losing streak and clinch the first 10-win season in program history. On top of the win over #1 Bama last year and likely going to New York with an outside chance to win the Heisman.

Will always love and appreciate HK, but don’t think I can call him a legend will such a comparable player and situation in Pavia & Vandy doing more with arguably less and against tougher competition. Failing to close out 8OT and the Pitt choke unfortunately make the difference
I have said before and still believe King and Pavia are the two most important players for their team's in college football.

I disagree that Vandy has less talent than GT.

King is a special QB who did bring GT out of the Darkness! That is very special!

Wow, FSU.

Norvell started at about the same time as TFG. We got Jeff Sims because Norvell cut him loose in favor of a higher rated prospect.

After five years of roster building, with a ton of NIL money, they had another losing season. And got pasted by their 4-8 state rival.

It’s amazing they start on second base and end up with a single.

FWIW, even if Cal holds on against SMU, UVA is destroying VT so we were 2 games away from winning either of the scenarios that didn't involve the SportSource analytics tiebreaker. We're gonna get 3/5 of the games in the Miami win scenario and 1/3 of the games in the Pitt win scenario.

Don’t know how true it is, but it looks like we would’ve possibly made it had the Wake game gone the other way.

EDIT: Didn’t read your whole thing lol sorry.

I thought it was NCar? Anyway, there was a 3-way tie (4?) and we won the tiebreaker.

The optics were bad then, as they are now if Duke gets in.
Yes! Them too! Miami was self imposed, UNC was handed down to them.
We got in because they both were cheating cheaters
