I used to play the five game cards when I was a college student, but I no longer bet on anything. So, your betting experience may have imparted knowledge about the betting lines I have not gained. When I look at the odds for this weekend they seem reasonable. I don't agree that uga is 19 points better than us, but most people do.

When I look at SC's season here is what I see. They played three OOC games against god only knows why they still play football teams - ODU, Akron, and Wofford. The rest of their games are a mixed bag of ups and downs. They beat A&M by 24 points and lost to LSU and Bama and Ole Miss. They beat an overrated Missouri. That's not much of a resume.

Clemson lost big to uga to open the season, then they played no one else as good as LSU, Bama, Ole Miss, or A&M. Say what you will about bias, but Clemson is the favorite in that rivalry game. SC has played a much tougher schedule even if you accept the bias.

There goes that bias...I think both of those teams could be many of the teams currently in the Top25. As you said yourself, Duke lost to SMU in OT and they're a Top10 team. Alabama is hot garbage. a&m is hot garbage. South Carolina. Those are just the SEC teams that are more than beatable. I"m not going to look at the Top25 to add more teams, but Texas has only played 1 team, and they lost to them, so it's not like Duke and Syracuse are not in good company with their schedule.
The South Carolina Game vs Clemson will say a lot about who is Hot Garbage! I have zero confidence in Clemson to win this game. Hope I am wrong.

Duke having one ranked loss (against a GT team tied for fourth in ACC), and then losses against currently #6 Miami and #9 SMU,
Not even in top 25 is INSANE.
Meanwhile SEC teams are losing BAD left and right to dogsh$t and still fighting to be in the CFP.

They made the Bias obvious with the FSU snub
But Bama at 13 is just a blatant middle finger to everyone “sorry we need the money”
Yet people dispute The Narrative.

As crazy as it may sound, the four SEC-ACC matchups this weekend could really affect the CFP selections. It is hard to compare teams but one way you may have is to compare conference matchups. ACC is currently 2-5 vs SEC and 3-2 vs Big 10. You can say this is too limited of data to make judgments on and you are right but I hate biased and journalist led "I" tests.

I do think that SEC/ACC results will impact the final CFP rankings. If the SEC breezes through with blowout wins, then it certainly strengthens the arguments for taking a 3 loss UGa team (if they lose the SEC Championship game) and maybe even a team like Alabama or Ole Miss (even though their losses are to weaker SEC teams). If the converse happens, then obviously it weakens the SEC arguments...

It’ll say a lot about who’s hot garbage that day. Both teams have been up and down. One team up and the other down could make it a blow out, both teams up or down and it’ll be close. One way and it’ll be an entertaining game. The other way and it’ll be a slog to watch. I think Clemson and South Carolina both have a lot to play for and both have good players. But, both teams have holes that can be exploited.

I think the four games end 2-2. GA and FL likely win and Clem and Louie likely win. But none of them are guaranteed. It would be just like F$U to put their season on one game and embarrass the Gators.

Meanwhile Memphis is laying it all on the line (or perhaps Tulane is laying an egg) to give the big 12 back their playoff spot.

Yeah… it’s only halftime.

That breeze from the west is the big 12 sigh of relief.
Maybe Army can play spoiler now..

I am including our game in this post.

GT @ uga - the dogs need to win this game or risk missing the CFP
Tenn @ Vandy - Same as above
Auburn @ Bama - Bama doesn't have much chance, but the CFP is gone w/o this game
Texas @ A&M - Texas wins & A&M misses CFP; A&M wins and one of the current "sure bets" is out

Notre Dame @ USC - Irish need this game & for Texas to win
Purdue @ Indiana - The Hoosiers need a slam dunk highlight reel win.

USCe @ Clemson - Clemson needs to just win. A big margin helps but may not be enough.
Cal @ SMU - The horses need to take care of business.

I think every B12 game matters in their tiebreaker rules. Especially if Army wins out with big numbers.
Remember, If Army wins the AAC, they only need to be ranked ahead of the B12 winner.

I think Texas, uga and Tenn win this weekend to end the SEC chaos. I also predict ND and Indiana will win. In the B12 I predict 2 teams from west of the Mississippi River will be in the CG. I feel good about that prediction, but just barely.

I am not picking the ACC games. We could have chaos. It's our turn.

Did anyone see the Bears / Lions game yesterday?

I know the sport is full of hyperbole, but the last 30-ish seconds of the game was the worst clock management I’ve ever witnessed. The Bears let nearly all the time bleed off the clock before chucking a deep ball and ran out of time. They left the field as losers, with an unused timeout left, that could have set up a game-tying field goal.

Their coach was promptly fired today.

That was off the charts weird.

Go Clemson? Man that feels weird. I hope UT shellacks the Aggies. Today I'm a Commodores fan?!? Hell, I might even root for the Razorbacks just to hate on that "great" sec mizzou team.....
The sun came up today. It's a good day.

Hard to get too enthused today.

I cannot cheer for Clemson, ACC be damned. They shat the bed against the dwags. I don’t want 1 of the 11 other spots for a team that will get destroyed.

I do think Miami and SMU win and are in.
