I suspect he learned that he wasn't gonna get drafted...bad wing, marginal stats, questionable leadership skills.
He was going to be drafted. But probably not as high as he would like. And for reference purposes, let's say the number some are projecting for his NIL at $3M is accurate. It probably isn't but let's just say it is. To get that same money next year he needs to be the #17 pick in the first round or higher. At least that's according to Spotrac based on the CBA. So if he thinks he's not going to be that high he might as well stay in college football another year, make that money, and potentially rehabilitate his reputation a bit. He was pretty darn good when he had some NFL caliber receivers (so are a lot of people). So if he's smart he'll go to wherever has the best offensive skill players to highlight what he can do. If that's Miami then that's a bonus for him because supposedly his girlfriend is Hanna Cavinder who is also at Miami.

This is correct! He has another year to show he is healthy and a high quality QB. He will play on a very talented team next season!

The $3M he was getting from UGA was legit. One of my nephews was Morgan Freeling's understudy at Oceanside Collegiate. His parents told my brother-in-law this exact number and he'll probably get equal or more to play a year in Miami. $6M + for someone under 23 is a lot of money, and I'm guessing he'll probably have at least 1 degree, which is 1 more than Stetson Bennett earned in 7 years of college.

$4m deal for Beck. Seems kind of silly - dude is riding off Ladd McConkey and Brock Bowers super hard, but Miami is the type of program to just throw bundles of money at major names with zero concern about value.

Crazy money to throw at a QB that just had Tommy John surgery and may not even be recovered by next season.

Hopefully this works out about as well as DJU and the rest of fsu’s hired guns did last season, on the other hand part of me wants Beck to ball out at UM to bring on dwag tears
