I have a spreadsheet where I've tried to predict GT baseball home and away conference opponents based on past trends. My analysis says: @MIA, @Duke, @VT, home vs UVA, UNC, PIT in coastal. Easy home and away prediction year to year. Rotating Atlantic opponents I have as @BC and @LOU. Clemson and ND at home.
My yearly projections are below. I believe I started trying to predict this before the 2019 season so I had some idea of whether I could make a trip up to Pittsburgh or Notre Dame, or a trip down to Louisville or other locations in VA or NC to see us play. FYI, my favorite trip is down to Miami if we play them in March, so I can take a week or more off to see the Mets in spring training as well!
Green indicates I was correct. Yellow indicates my prediction, or a change in conference membership that I had to consider in my prediction methodology. Orange just represents the f'd up COVID+ year which I did not predict.
We'll see if I'm correct for 2023.
