Obviously, Atlanta has the potential to carry over a nice OF to go with a very good IF. The RP, hopefully will be upgraded instead of pieced together as in the past. It’s turned into a vital part of the MLB. One part of this team that might be underrated is the SP:
1)Charlie Morton
2)Maximillian Fried
3)Mike Soroka
4)Ian Anderson
5)Kyle Wright

Nice problem to have with Ynoa, Touki, Mueller and Davidson.
Soroka, Anderson have pitched together in the organization since lower A ball.

Rumor is they would have to give up a top prospect to dump the 30m+ that’s left. The other team wouldn’t care about his “domestic shortcomings.”

He has been getting paid all season long. Baseball probably won’t suspend him with negotiations going on in collective bargaining talks, which could inflame the players association.

If the Braves hold him while Spring Training most certainly goes into delay, the DH could come into effect for the N.L. It gives them more options in keeping him or trading him to 31 teams instead of 16.

Personally, I love the Soler System as a Brave DH.

Teams have 7 days right now to negotiate with their own FA’s. So, an example like I’m going to throw out, is most likely not going to happen soon if it ever will.

Yanks want to dump 2013 draftee Tim Locastro and his 750k. Atlanta could take a flyer on a change of scenery. NY will end up not offering arbitration or DFA.
Braves could offer Ozuna, Touki and Waters. Just a thought, to entice a large market club?

Don’t forget your free Los Dorito Taco tomorrow at Taco Bell, all day. Hope I said that right? I’ll call it the Albies steal-a-base taco. They are all crunchy, but I thought of getting a Crunch Taco that I keep seeing advertised with it.

Soler Power System made 8,250,000.00 this past season and is a UFA.
I‘d love to keep him and Rosario. What would you like for the Braves to do with Joctober? He is sending the original Pearl necklace to Cooperstown.

I agree with you about Soler and Rosario. Joc may have to play elsewhere if we have too many bodies. I think it depends on what the Braves are going to do with Ozuna.

I think, ideally, you keep two of Rosario, Peterson, Duvall, and Soler. With the additional resources allotted to us due to the World Series and massive attendance from the entire year, it shouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that this could be accomplished. Personally, I'd like to see Rosario and Soler stick around. Duvall should be a keep since he is arb-eligible if nothing more than to keep him from destroying us like he did earlier in the year before we traded for him. This is also working under the assumption that the DH will be implemented and that Ozuna has played his last game in a Braves uniform.

Joc is due 10m. for 2022. Although, there is a 2022 Mututal Option which includes a $2.5 million buyout. He’s a 2023 UFA. I don’t believe he earned his contract bonuses this past year? Not enough at bats, last time I checked.

I think you’re being reasonable. Reality now tells us we would be fortunate to get one of Rosario and Soler. Both are going to want multi-year contracts. I don’t see them getting that here. We discussed that issue briefly in the NL East thread. Our best chances to control are Duvy and Pederson. It would be nice to have a little bench punch, so when a righty is not pitching, Joc awaits the late innings to PH or be inserted in the game. A LH DH potentially, also.

Eddie is going to hit for a higher average, better fielder, more versatile. Soler can be streaky, but he did hit 48 HR’s a few years back. He whiffs more. Chicks love the dinger(long balls). I would keep Rosario, although I don’t have a say.
