According to a reliable source, Tyler Flowers turned down the Braves offer of 1 year/1 million. He thinks he’s worth more than that on the open market.

Very glad not to have to watch him pick up balls at the screen, this season!

Right-handed reliever Carl Edwards Jr. has opted out of his minor league deal with the Braves and is now a free agent, tweets Gabe Burns of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He’d been vying for one of the final spots in the Atlanta ’pen.

The Braves have optioned OF Guillermo Heredia to the team's alternate site and reassigned INF Ryan Goins to minor league camp. They now have 38 players left on their camp roster.

I hate it that Edwards left, but he does walk a lot of people. It also seems like Jones, Webb, and Touissant are above him in the pecking order so it is understandable. I just liked having him for the depth and his potential.
