Yeah 5-6 looks very possible and Duke isn't a gimme right now.

Honestly our APR is good enough and winning a game at Duke puts us 4-4 in ACC play. Not getting an opportunity to play the UCF game should get us to a bowl. Probably Quick Lane or something under that.

Maryland or Indiana in the Quick Lane Bowl against GT is very possible in the case that GT is 5-6 or 6-5.

It is amazing what people will do for money/profit these days. When cash is involved, pride disappears in most cases. If presented with the opportunity, I would imagine we would participate.

Lord knows we need the extra practice. Guys we have 3 losses that if anything goes our way we are instead 7-1. Hoping we get some breaks and can knock off vt and duke.

The meaningless post season exhibition games have become totally ridiculous. GT may go to one, but (1) doesn't deserve to (no team with a losing record deserves a bowl) and it will simply be another chance to be embarrassed. We'll probably play some team that is excited to be there and wants it more than we do on Northeast Utah Teacher's College will beat us and make us wish we hadn't even gone.

If this is our level of bowl selection then put us in the Quick Lane Bowl. We do not want to see a team like Iowa on a frozen baseball field in December. You think we have a hard time in the rain try playing on a frozen field in a blizzard in 25 degree temps with a bunch of southerners! Those boys from Iowa will be playing in tank tops in that weather. Lol

Jerry Palm's Bowl Predictions are bizarre today. He doesn't have GT going to a Bowl but he's got Tennessee playing Wake Forest in the Belk Bowl. I think a 6-5 GT team goes to the Quick Lane or Pinstripe Bowls.

FWIW, there is a big UT guy who appears frequently on Nashville sports talk radio. Whenever this gets discussed, he has found that there is little to no correlation with "extra bowl practice" and the following year's record. He discounts that theory based on his study over several decades worth of data. I tend to give him the benefit of the doubt.
