So, of the vaunted schedule, since 2002 we are:
Other historical records since 2002:
I guess this post is chiefly to remind us that we have historic dominance over Tobacco Road, at least. I think the vaunted "Big 4" are really just the "Big 2." We beat Clemson more often than not, and Miami is a genuine toss-up. UGA results are more often than not the result of so many intangibles. Of note, UVA has been our nemesis more often than we think.
Really, we dominate the ACC but always "sneak up" on people. I guess I'd rather have it this way than not.
- 11-7 vs. Clemson
- 16-3 vs. UNC (yet they always get rated higher!!)
- 15-2 vs. Duke
- 8-8 vs. UVA (a toss-up most years)
- 5-7 vs. Miami
- 3-8 vs. VT
- 5-12 vs. Georgie (and we all know a LOT of these close games should have gone our way)
Other historical records since 2002:
- 7-3 vs. Wake
- 8-3 vs. Maryland (less relevant now that they've hit the road)
- 8-3 vs. NCST
- 8-3 vs. the SEC other than UGA
- 7-7 vs. the rest of the ACC (including schools not yet in ACC when we played them but who are now)
