I know my picks were very optimistic, Eric, but why the L at UNC?

The optimist in me says flip VT As a win and Miami as a loss and then w all the way with a win over THWG, lose to Free Sea Food University and win in bowl = 11 wins. All the b teamers have plenty of playing time and contribute in the final push as coach figures out how to play all against the pressure defenses.

The pessimist is not fit for print 6 wins. No b team experience early and late season injuries
The weighted average is 10 wins!

I think we go into the last two games 9-1, give or take 1, 10-0 more likely than 8-2.

I say eight is the magic number to keep PJ.We may pick off VT but we play them there and gosh the schools from NC are hard to figure.NC has talent and tons of it but cant seem to shake us and thats good and NCS seems to always be rebuilding. Win both of them and you have good year for won loss record...

9-1 and in the top 15 when 8-2 Clemson comes to town. Saturday night game. ESPN. Record crowd since stadium reconfig. All day to tailgate with Clemson friends. Drunk by 4PM, sober by game time and nervous as an expectant father. Double up on the blood pressure medicine. Win the game, and we go through athens like a runaway freight train. Lose and we finish 9-5 and out of top 25. We screw around in first half and are down by 10 at halftime. The last half determines the fate of Georgia Tech football for a lustrum. How does it end? Damn if I know, but I'll be there if the Good Lord is still letting me draw breath on November 15th.

at Virginia Tech --W This year we finally put a beat down (500+ yards rushing) beat down on them esp since they have to play OSU and ECU prior to us and they wont get to game plan all summer...assuming we dont jump off sides 10+ times
vs. Miami --W As long as the refs keep them from punching our players we will win Yes I am still angry about the no calls from 2 years ago
vs. Duke -W Duke will give us all we want this year but we will win..They will be coming off of a bye week and that spells trouble
at North Carolina - W These guys are due against us BUT in the 3 weeks prior to us they play Clemson, VippySU and Notre Dame
at Pittsburgh W did that D tackle graduate? The one that was in out backfield for 3 quarters?
vs. Virginia - W these guys are jeckyl and hyde....I dont know what team may show up
at North Carolina State - W I have no idea what to expect from the Pack
vs. Clemson L these guys get a few extra days since they play on Thursday the prior week...Their D will be tough and by this late in the season they will have their O questions sorted out
at Georgia L but who knows ...maybe we play a complete game against these jerks

Hope you are right, but I see us losing (>60% probability) to Miami and UNC. Ending up at 8-4. I've learned not to over anticipate and let the games come as they may.

I'm going to the Miami game for sure. We win that one, and I may go to the UNC game ...... and the Clemson game if it matters.
