GAMEDAY!!!
good morning to the few people in this forum who still give a damn about basketball. (Although, we still care more than Georgia even with the season they’re off to) It is GAMEDAY and the beginning of a long ACC stretch that will last the next three months.
Our BasketBees take on the team in conference who has nearly an identical color scheme. Pitt, you may ask? No, they reverted back to mustard yellow a few years ago. ”Oh no.” Your heart exclaims. That’s right, Tech is taking on Notre Dame. Why is your heart upset? It’s upset because ALL BUT FOUR TIMES TECH AND ND HAVE PLAYED SINCE THE IRISH JOINED THE CONFERENCE, THIS GAME HAS BEEN DECIDED BY TEN POINTS OR LESS. So it’s very likely that this game takes a few years off your lifespan. Tech went 0-3 against ND and all of them were decided by four points or less. (That needs to be motivation for CDS and the guys)
That said, ND isn’t that impressive on paper. They’re 7-5 (1-0 ACC) with a loss to Elon and also lost to Georgia (our lone common opponent so far) by 21. Their most impressive wins so far are Syracuse (their lone conference game to this point) and Georgetown (who are 11-2, but are likely to slow down when they begin Big East play)
Tech is coming off of a nice win against Alabama A&M, thing is, Alabama A&M is a team who almost anyone could beat. Tech looked good in the win, but this will be a step up in competition. Sure, it’s not Duke or UNC but any ACC game is a test of some kind.
COME ON DOWN TO MCCAMISH IF YOU CAN! If you can’t, ACCN has you covered. You can even be old school and listen to Andy and Randy on the airwaves if you wish.
Let‘s go Jackets!
I’m flooredVictory!!!!
Your hope came true!We are due to win one in this series, and there is no reason we can’t win today, but players and coaches will have to bring their A game. I hope McCollum is available to play.
