11/4 WBB vs Winthrop

Sorry, getting this out late, but the Lady Jackets have a 10:30am start today against Winthrop.

We are 6 minutes in and have a 19-10 lead. This included an opening basket in the first 5 seconds, and a 10-0 run to start the game. The team looks good so far and like they are playing loose.

2 of the Freshmen, Chit chat and Carnegie have played so far. Also Termis looks great

End of Q1. We're shooting 63% from the floor led by Morgan with 8 and are up 26-12. Defense looks aggressive, shooting looks good. Definitely an exciting team so far.

Ok scoring slowed down in the 2nd half as started putting up 3's (Rusne hasn't found her groove yet, but she's close from deep). Score is 40-19. Turnovers and steals are even, but otherwise we are dominating.

We are putting a beating on them. Termis will play a very important role on the team. She is the only true "big" (6' 6") on the team and she looks like a solid, mobile defender. She won't light up the scoreboard, but she will provide rebounding, defense, and assists.

And that's final! 85-39 Jackets! Kids were loud, the Freshmen (and the team as a whole) look great. Next up is Georgia State on Friday at 7pm. Show out and support the ladies!

I was not super tuned in for this game but Termis is the best surprise of the Anderson and Winthrop games. Again, waiting to see her against better competition, but if she keeps looking like this and improving over the course of the season, this could be a really solid team.

Geez, Winthrop was 0-10 from the 3 point line. You figure one would go in by accident.

I was just happy to see that we hit our FT’s (6-7). Drives me NUTS when we miss FT’s.
