Don’t understand why they just don’t go find a team they actually like & can root FOR.
I have a relative who will complain about the Thanksgiving dinner today. He will not have helped with the prep or cooking in any way. But there will be several things not to the his liking and it be a subject of too much discussion before someone at the table tells him to STFU.

Mustang made a couple really good decisions in this game that won’t show up in the bs that I liked. When to pull the ball back out, when to call his own number and drive. His ceiling is high IMHO.

The guys have got to learn how to play defense with their feet. When you play with your feet you’re not playing with your hands. 17 team fouls before the U16 TVto is a lot.

i hope that shooters bounce gets LOB off the schnide.

DO is going to be a really good big man for us IMHO but it’s going to be OJT

For me, one of the best parts of a win is the morning after crickets from
CDS haters, who NEVER EVER compliment a player or coach
after any win, whether a Top 10 or bottom 50.

You know things are bad when he pulls the "where the haters at" card after beating a 1-7 Charleston Southern. I would have thought he would have saved that for a conference victory. Maybe someone is lacking confidence in their messiah.

Although it was obviously an autocorrect, I liked the correction. He is like a mustang: full of piss and vinegar and, although sometimes goes charging in the wrong direction, there is the excitement regarding the potential.
He's going to be a real asset when he gets an outside shot.
Its a bit scary that vs a team like CS we shot badly from 3 pt and FTs.This is the type of game to work on/correct this if possible..

He is what he is for the year as an outside shooter. He can work on it, but real improvement is going to come with hours in the gym in the offseason. I‘m not sure if I remember correctly, but outside shooting was never his forte.

Correct. He was so strong that he didn't need to shoot over 15 ft in hi school.Just bullied guys to the cup. Those days are gone vs good teams.

Heckuva line by Lance Terry:

15 pts on 7 - 10 from the floor, 5 reb, 4 assts, 0 turnovers, and 5 steals. Led the team with 36:40 minutes.

Jackets dominated on 52 -18 points in the paint.

Good to get the younglings some minutes and hopefully a confidence builder for Mustang for him to build off of.

As I was watching the game, thinking similarly, I thought Peaches* would be pleased.I too was excited on that decision making ability to go along with that big body.He scored through contact, was able to show an array of mid range stuff in the lane...couple nice turnarounds, little pull ups over smaller defenders. The bounce on the baseline dunk was impressive, gives me the feel of a bully guard just getting in the yard testing what he can do.Like you said the ceiling isn't in sight!

“Mustang” is not a great metaphor when referencing any member of a GT sports team any more so than a Hurricane, Blue Devil, Tiger, Panther or Bulldog. SMU is now a conference foe/rival. Just sayin’.

Refereeing has gotten poorer and poorer over time.
Actually, I believe it is substantially better. You are more aware of the mistakes officials make because every play has multiple cameras with different angles to replay what happened. 30 years ago officials missed calls and coaches didn't even know until they reviewed the game film.

No positives in a loss; no negatives in a win.

GT 91 CS 67, needs a little context:

Clemson 91 CS 64
NF 90 CS 66
LSU 77 CS 68
McCollum out entire game for concussion protocol
O’Brien played but still recovering from ankle injury
Reeves only 14 minutes pulled by trainer (undisclosed injury)
Ndongo limited to 19 min (17 pts 8 rb, 100% FG)
Team still gets 18 assists on only 7 turnovers
10 steals

Fans been screaming for better/aggressive D & CDS and
staff spend entire practices on D so the team comes out
aggressively, focused & tough but committing lots of fouls
and play with 4 fouls on Baye, DO, Nait & Lance for most
of game YET increase lead in second half with freshman
Mustaf & bench. Mustaf reminding us how he led his team to
OTE championship last season.

Pay attention Saturday. Central Arkansas coming in. As bad as they
are predicted to fare in McCamish, they beat UNC Asheville, who in
turn beat UNF in the Osprey’s home opener. A win is never a given.
But if Yellow Jackets do win, a continuation of last night’s dominance
over CS would be a nice omen.

For me, one of the best parts of a win is the morning after crickets from
CDS haters, who NEVER EVER compliment a player or coach
after any win, whether a Top 10 or bottom 50. I can picture them
rooting for Charleston Southern during the run at the start of the
second half last night. Don’t understand why they just don’t go find a team
they actually like & can root FOR.
Reeves sat after landing on a player's foot and rolling his ankle. Didn't seem that bad at the time, he was walking around on it. But who knows how badly it might have swelled up after removing the ankle tape.

Don't be a dumbass.
With 18 basketball schools in the ACC plus UGA we’ve got enough mascots to go around to nickname every player on our team. You changed my mind. It’s actually a great idea. We could have our very own Demon Deacon Duncan. BTW, many of my more sophisticated friends who wear knot-free panties always call me “intellectually challenged”. Thanks for the recognition.
