These guys absolutely whooped us in Fifth Third Arena last year and we owe them some payback in this home & home series. We can be eternally grateful to them for locking down Sturdy and Amaree Abram that game and giving Nait the Great his coming out party. There's nothing our students love more than rushing the court/field and let's hope they show out in strong numbers given the opportunity to do so against #18 Cincinnati. Also worth noting, 247 #4 C/O 2026 Caleb Holt will be in the building for this one - some sources say we lost Bryson Tiller to Kansas due to the lackluster atmosphere and fan support at McCamish, so let's not make that mistake again and get the place rocking to give our guys a jolt of energy and give Holt a show. No traffic excuses for this one - get yourself to Midtown early for a double Old Fashioned and make the 5 minute walk across the connector for a wonderful afternoon in McCamish.

@AUFC where to go in midtown for a pregame drink then walk to McCamish? I’m usually rushing to park and get to my seat by tip-off, but someday in another life… maybe.

Quoting myself here… asking because the only spot on my radar is Rocky Mountain Pizza. Sometimes we hit Taqueria Del Sol on Howell Mill but you still have to drive from there and park.

Hey, was gifted some seats so the decision to go was made for me. Outside of Cheetah, where would you go pre-game/post-game?

I like these (CC: @GT33) :
  • Marlow's Tavern (0.5mi)
  • Eleventh Street Pub (0.4mi)
  • Rowdy Tiger Whiskey Bar (0.6mi)
  • Cypress Street Pint & Plate (0.7mi)
  • Atwoods (less of a bar, more just neapolitan pizza but they serve beer and wine) (0.6mi)
  • AltaToro (0.4mi)
Looks like the Homewood Suites right across the bridge has a new spot called The Garden Grille & Bar that I'll check out some pregame. I would say Marlow's is probably the most crowded with people visiting who are headed to the game afterward. It can be tough to find a spot at the bar or a table if you're on the later side but definitely hyped pre-game vibes in there every time I go.

Marlow’s on W. Peachtree two blocks south of 10th Street. Park in covered parking in the Publix deck. Royale w Cheese burger and a Guiness.
You're prooooobably fine but I'd be careful parking there for extended periods of time because I have vague memories of cars getting booted in that lot. Worth the $2/hr to just street park IMO and avoid the headache.

I’ll stamp Marlow’s. Pretty sure that’s where I got to hang with DTM and ESPN years ago.

My son is getting his tonsils out tomorrow, and my wife is out of town this weekend. Of course, we win by double digits.

I've got two tickets + parking pass (ER66). If anyone is interested, shoot me a message.

I've tried them all in some shape, form, or fashion, and I really think that the easiest and best option is Rocky Mountain.

Beer is cold, it's usually not super crowded, and they have decent food (that goes with beer). Then it is a short drive (1/2 mile) with maybe one light.

Those others, you likely to have pay for parking and its a headache getting over to the arena. Just my two cents. Wish I could make it down.

If we can get some momentum going (and positive energy), we should plan a Swarm PreGame. I'd be down

Swarm pregame would be fun. I can take lead on planning that - we’ll do some Saturday game in the near future.
