Really? Is $60-$125 really that absurd for a big game? I imagine blue blood programs wouldn’t think so. I know we aren’t them, but still.

GT fans are notoriously cheap though, so I wonder if the best way to get them to sellout might be to offer cheap tickets. Honestly the dwag fans are probably more likely to buy tickets for this game if prices are higher.
Seats for Texas Southern went for $4. Supply and demand.

For a program that "sold" 3,500 seats for their opening 3 games, yes I do think a decent chunk of our alumni are passing on attending this game who otherwise might make a friends/family evening of it if they could get tickets for $25/pop.

UGA has a bit more momentum than our program right now but they are still solidly a football school. I think having the night game against Tennessee at Sanford the following evening might neuter (no pun intended) their turnout a bit. For the record, I went to our game at the Stegesaurus last season and it looked not too dissimilar from your average weeknight in McCamish. Wikipedia says they hit 90% capacity but I don't buy that, and that's particularly bad because there is very little competing for your entertainment dollars on a late fall weeknight if you're an Athens local.

House will be full of GREATS. Cremins will be in the house. If the Jackets are alive in this game by halftime, the ceremony should get the crowd whipped into a wild frenzy for the 2nd half. Would be nice if remaining available seats don’t go to fans wearing red.

I became a GT fan due in large part to Lethal Weapon 3 and our 1990 National Champion football team. In my lifetime of being a GT fan, I just realized I never knew Scott's background...and I am big on learning about all of our players. Glad to see Scott is a great person and how he credits everyone who has played a part in his success. I was a kid during that Final Four run in 1990...now 34 years later...

I’m all for it. I hope it sells out. I hope GTAA makes money. I hope it’s at least 80% GT fans.

LOTS of people will be in attendance for the Scott's jersey retirement, and it's COFH basketball edition. Both GT and UGA have good players on the team, and both teams are expected to do better than last season. I'm not surprised at all that this game will be well attended.

I just don’t think CDS can coach. He’s recruited decently but I haven’t seen anything that resembles good coaching. It looks an awful lot like a poor NBA team. No defense, no intensity, occasionally make a shot here and there, looks like the “roll the ball out there” and see what happens.

I don’t know man. That second half I saw our guys in good positions, but simply miss wide-open shots. Also, unfortunately, I think Georgia is a good team. I think we need this year and next to see what we have in CDS.
