3pt shooting was the difference.
Thought this was going to be the death of us after Tonie missed that shot at the end of regulation. Carnegie aside, we had several players who usually show up who simply did not tonight. Similar story to the men in Syracuse two nights ago. It was a two woman show between Kara and Tonie tonight when we need 5, 6, 7 capable scorers to reach the levels we are capable of.Just returned home. Carnegie wasn't giving us anything before injury. But, when she went down we only had two scorers left. VT had very balance scoring which makes it hard to guard.
Nice to meet you too! We had a great time at the game!Nice to meet @MWBATL and his wife btw! Hope you guys had a good time despite the L and will definitely catch you guys at another game soon enough. Come join @HurricaneJacket and I in Sec 100 for a game anytime when he is not tending to new dad responsibilities!

I haven't seen anything official, but she was on the bench at the end of the game. She seemed to be moving well and her leg was not wrapped. So...maybe nothing serious?? I hope anyway.Any news on the extent of Carnegie’s injury? I haven’t been able to find anything.
CNF has stated that D’Asia Thomas-Harris is out for the year.
d’asia has been out for a while.Huh? I’m confused. Dani was hurt but d’asia is out?
Student attendance was fantastic. They had 110 courtside, 111, and a solid chunk of 113. The big issue, and possibly one of the reasons we lost a tight game, was that they didn't make an impact on the game until there was a minute or two left and the overtimes. When the game was close late, they stood and made noise on defense and injected energy into the team and disrupted VT communications (which led to the late steal at the end of regulation and gave us a chance at a Tonie Morgan gamewinner). Based on everyone sitting in 111, I got the vibe it was a lot of students first games but hopefully the end of game taught them how to be a student section that can make a difference on the court.Attendance still only 1,500 (which is bigger than any game I recall ever attending back in the day). Sorry I'm not contributing even though I'm 4 hrs closer now.
This would have been a good one to attend since my wife is a d**n Hokie. Hopefully I'll be able to make one or two BB games coming up.
