The thing is we lost convincingly to a team who doesn't even have a single player I'd take over one of our guys. It's crazy. Our guards bring the ball up the court quickly, penetrate, and even when the lane is open pull back. There is no offense being run right now.
Not sure why we stopped driving the lane when it was open all game. We looked like the much better team the first half then were back in it with 3 minutes left and typical GT team can't make free throws.
Also the 2 point conversion OT rule is trash. This is what happens when you allow sports books in bed with all of sport. Big overtimes throw off their numbers game.
King wanted the win more than anything and it hurts he fumbled that ball. I echo all of the complaints about the refs stated above
I'm not all doom and gloom about this loss but how can we consistently have teams that can't make lay ups?
Seemed like McCollum could get to the basket and score at will and he just stopped doing that.
Stinks for the ACC but they were actually trying to take our players out of the game and didn't get called for it. Refs mostly let the game play out so I don't really blame them much. I feel they were consistent but when it's my team getting an extra hit on already injured players I get a little...
You know what else is cheap, the forward pass and helmets too. Teach these sissies to play real football (tic). You guys are ridiculous. It 100% looks stupid, but it's the counter to the hurry up offense. Why aren't you on the other team for playing too fast and not letting us get lined up? I...
4th quarter King is the man. I know QB gets more credit than probably is due but with everything even I think our better QB was the difference in the game. We looked excellent out there. Need a game where the starters don't play more than 3 quarters next weekend. Pad some stats and get some rest
Saw somewhere GT is a record 0-5 in college gameday games... so we're due. I think we come out hot and get a quick lead and struggle to hold on to it late in the game but end up with a close W.
Honestly looked like we were playing ourselves and we're great at beating ourselves. Sorry had to. Miami has a lot of the same issues we do. Happy for the team win and Miles looked great out there, just a little sloppy there at the end
I think it was a Brian Gregory thing to pull a guy out of the game immediately if they made a mistake which annoyed the crap out of me. He'd have a pg mishandle ball and pull him. Like how is that guy supposed to get into any rhythm? I'm glad CDS doesn't do it that way. I would guess some guys...
Maybe one silver lining here (because I desperately want to like this team and sick of new coaches) CDS made Nait face the music last night after the game with the press. Could have easily put Sturdy out there. He's got his guy at that position. I think every other slot is up for grabs for...
I do think RJ trying to oversell to get the call made them swallow their whistles. If he plays through it I think he gets the call. The alternate views show a little contact early and then an academy award worthy performance while shooting the ball
I agree they got some home cooking but also it was clearly our game plan to let them know we were there. We didn't miss an opportunity to put a forearm or hip into whoever was moving the fastest. I do feel that although our screens were illegal, theirs were too and not called. The refs started...
Didn't need miles to take all those 3s at the end. They were willing to let us have 2 and defense was playing alright. Amazing shot by Ndongo at the end of regulation
All I want out of this is one thing. 2 years from now if they don't fire him before when/if we host UNC (not sure how the new ACC schedule is going to work - whenever it is) I just want the PA announcer to say "it's money down" for every 3rd down they have . I want it to burn his @$$ like death...
