Hafley was making ~$3 million as the BC HC. NFL coordinators average ~$1 million with the highest paid coordinators making ~$3-4 million. Seems likely he would be taking a pay cut to go back to go to Green Bay.
Key seems to like Co-Coordinators. It could be that Scherer is going to be retained as a Co-DC and roles will be determined bases on who the new Co-DC is. If we are able to get a bigger name DC that wants to be the sole DC then we can re-jigger the titles to make people happy.

All of the best years of UNC football that I can remember have been with Mack Brown as HC either the first time around or the current. UNC has been pretty bad at football otherwise.

Fridge was the highest paid assistant in the country when he was our OC. In 2021, both of Clemson's coordinators made over $2 million per year. In 2020, all 10 GT assistant coaches combined made ~$3.2 million.

They don't turn it over (only 8 turnovers all year), Avg. 6.2 yds/carry (better than us), have a solid defense, and unlike Clemson don't choke (at least against us).
