  1. QB Johnson injured - UPDATE

In high school, a coach's roster typically is limited to whoever attends the school. In college, the coach recruits the players that best fit the team's needs. Therefore, a high school coach would be more likely to adjust the system to the talent than a college coach would. Obviously, some...
  2. Atlanta United News

I thought they looked out of sync against Chicago last week and was kind of dreading this game up in Toronto. The chopped up field slowing down a pass and a lucky deflection cost them the first goal and things unraveled from there. They absolutely must get Almiron back for the playoffs.
  3. Auburn scrimmage

True, that is a bad choice of words. If we looked absolutely clueless and inept, that would not be meaningless.
  4. Three dumb questions

You're thinking of using a spy for a QB that likes to run after dropping back to pass. There really can't be a spy on a running play against our offense because it hits so quickly and the spy would be fighting off blocks every play. Also would potentially be a guy to be optioned out of the play.
  5. Auburn scrimmage

If we came out of the scrimmage without any injuries, then I consider it a success. That is my only criteria. Since you can't win or lose a scrimmage, I would imagine there is a lot of experimenting with lineups and plays. How we looked is meaningless. All that matters is how we grow as a team.
  6. Atlanta Legends (Alliance of American Football)

That home opener on February 24th could be brutal weather wise.
  7. ProJackets Update

"They" say OL is the hardest position to project to the next level. This would back up that theory.
  8. Arrests coming due to college bball kickbacks

I have a hard time believing that if one or several of the "bluebloods" miss the NCAA tournament, that ratings would suffer. Filling out a bracket and watching the tourney has become an American tradition, doesn't matter who's playing. Having an upstart like Butler go deep in the tourney...
  9. How Many Yards Will GT Run For Against Duke

We did beat Duke at home two years ago. People talk like we haven't beaten them for 5 years.
  10. Louisville Week Media

I'm always at the game and I can't read them from the upper deck. My vision is pretty good.
  11. Offensive lineman out friday???

I guess this falls under the category of "we don't want to let the opposition know anything prior to the kickoff". Like it's going to make a difference.
  12. Louisville Week Media

So you're saying if I screw up my vision, I can read the numbers?;) Watching the replay, Wes could not tell if Owens or Branch returned the fumble. For the angle he had, the 89 could have been 99 because of the unusual front. Only when Owens rolled when he was tackled could you see it was...
  13. ACC Network could mean more late start kickoff slots

A network dedicated to just the ACC will mean there are more later time slots to fill. Raycom will go away, so there will not be an increase in time slots with early kickoffs.
  14. The boy from Lumpkin County can kick ...

Sounds good, and I would like to think so, but it's impossible to know for sure if it's true. I'm sure Nick Saban would say he's never pulled anybody's scholarship either. The question was asked, and I answered.
  15. The boy from Lumpkin County can kick ...

Pull scholarship for poor performance. May be a little premature for that. Wells still hasn't attempted a field goal. The only reason you haven't seen Wells earlier is because he was injured coming into camp.
  16. Bowling Green vs. Georgia Tech Predictions

That's quite a dream. Since they don't use buzzers in football, was the dream kind of a cross between football and basketball?
  17. Do you remember when you became a Tech fan?

The process began when my application to GT was accepted. The relationship was consummated when I attended my first game as a freshman in 1979. We beat both William and Mary. We were on the quarter system, so school started weeks after the first home game, which we lost Alabama.
  18. ACC Football Thread

He may feel that, but I doubt the NFL scouts think so. Hell, I doubt the CFL scouts think so. Ok Kelly, go out and prove me wrong.
  19. ACC Football Thread

If you want to play, win your job back. But whatever. The football world has changed. It's not like he is likely to have an NFL future.
