I don't know if I'd say the crowds were great. UVA brought a ton a fans. Miami didn't bring as many but they were vocally louder than our fans for large stretches of the game. The band was the only group of fans that was trying to counter the Miami chants
Only caught a bit of the game on the radio, turned it on right before the under 8 timeout and I hear Andy say Tech leads by 40. Sounded like a solid get right game before we go into conference play.
Good stuff, frankly, the season ticket exchange benefit is not doing the early game attendance any favors either. I'm not sure who else has taken advantage of it but it allows season ticket holders to exchange any tickets for games they don't want to attend for additional tickets to any other...
Was surprised to see attendance was only a hair over 4,083. I really thought GSU would pack it out with it being a new stadium and a chance to knock off Tech. GSU students/band did a great job bringing the energy.
People mentioned the Notre Dame game already. Next favorite would be beating Georgia on opening night in the 2014-2015 season. Student section was singing THWg all night long.
Club America and Chivas played a friendly in the US at Bobby Dodd yesterday. The Atlanta United games at Bobby Dodd have been some of my favorite times at Bobby Dodd. It would be great to have them play here again.
