    2020 Adidas Swag Thread

I’m interested to hear your feedback on that one. I ordered that in an XL (my usual size for non-GameMode adidas) and it’s laughably small. Like...can’t even wear it small. Almost like it’s a mislabeled youth XL.

She’s been an athlete pretty much her whole life. But yeah, just thus year alone has learned all the players’ names, their tendencies, typically Pastner mistakes, etc. Pretty fun having a pretty basketball/sports watching partner! But anyway...

Will do. Anything else? But seriously, the point is that it leads to a lot of unnecessary turnovers. That’s the thing that any/all of the people who have mentioned it point out. Does it happen because of offensive strategy, or lack thereof? When it is happening, it happens a lot, and doesn’t...

Okie dokie. Even though it’s also been said here by other posters, and on more than one GT Facebook group and twitter as well. But the best solution is probably for everyone to have their opinion, and just live life. Good talk.

I’ll ask HER tomorrow if she’s a figment if my imagination. Along with the people around us. I’ll get back to you with an answer. That work for you?

You sure about that? It’s to a point that in our section (home games), fans have been vocal about it when Devoe gets the ball and starts driving. Even the person I have been bringing to home games, a former collegiate athlete (not D1) who hasn’t followed GT basketball before coming to games...

That’s one of my biggest gripes about our “offense”. How many times a game do we see Devoe drive to the basket and get trapped and as a result throw up and very low percentage wild shot, or plain out get stripped out lose control of the ball/turnover? It’s A LOT. And it’s over and over each...

Reflections on the National Championship Game

Being very close to Athens, and having quite a few customers that are deep into UGA (athletics/academics/administration), I hear a surprising amount of discontent for Kirby as a head coach, and it’s actually increased since he was hired. There are A LOT of people that have/had interactions with...

Sports Illustrated: Why Is College Football Attendance Tanking?

I am waiting for the day when VR headsets and unobtrusive cameras placed all around a stadium allow people to virtually attend games. And the VR experience could be similar to that of real game attendance, where you pay more for views/an experience closer to the field of play. Most expensive of...

Season Ticket Email - Mayhem at MBS adds $105/per seat

You’ll have to sell the ND game tickets yourself then. I’ve already asked if I could opt out of the ND game completely, and there’s no option for that.

Sports Illustrated: Why Is College Football Attendance Tanking?

Right. And those games would cost even more to attend than end of season games do now. Making it even harder for the average fan to be able to afford to attend. Just watch Facebook to see how much playoff and national championship tickets are going for, and how the average fan is priced right...

Sports Illustrated: Why Is College Football Attendance Tanking?

I think you have hit on the biggest part of it...TV. Everything and everyone has literally been catering to TV for a while now. Everything has been done to increase the attractiveness to watch games on TV (or otherwise TV wouldn’t be throwing so much money into it), so I don’t really understand...

Season Ticket Email - Mayhem at MBS adds $105/per seat

Yeah, the Stinger Pass vs. non-prime location season tickets is also a bit of a head scratcher, and one I’m weighing out right now. The $325 Stinger Mobile pass, lower level seating, including the ND game includes better seating than my season tickets if I renew them, at least according to my...

Season Ticket Email - Mayhem at MBS adds $105/per seat

I’m not sure what you’re referring to with “season parking”, but I’m assuming you mean a paid in advance parking pass for the same lot all season, bought through the AA. Now, I don’t know how it works exactly for high level points holders, as I’m pretty low on that totem pole, but with the...

Am I wrong in what I (and the others that sit around me at the games) see, but does that not go for Devoe as well? It seems more often than not, when he has the ball and drives, it ends up in him getting trapped and leads to a turnover, or he throws up a very wild-a**ed, off balance shot that...

Season Ticket Email - Mayhem at MBS adds $105/per seat

Yes, you’ve got to improve the product to make cost increases easier to swallow. Getting people to come to games is about the product, and that doesn’t just mean wins. The gameday experience at BDS is poor, and being a STH doesn’t seem to get you anything. If it does get you something, it’s...

I remember some of those days. Even though I played football as my primary sport during youth (I’m 41 years old), as a young GT fan my favorite sport was always basketball. I think it’s a better sport from a spectator aspect. And I loved the relatively few times I got to go to a GT...
