Again, as I already said in my last post “ That might not be fair, but it is what it is”. You wanted to know why people are angsty. I told you. I never said the reason why was fair.
Two of our wins we got in Athens under CPJ were won by overcoming second half double digit deficits. No one likes to play from behind. I’d bet our record in the CPJ era down in the second half isn’t much different than anyone else’s during the same span. CPJ only had one season as bad as last...
Well that’s too bad. If he actually “****ed the haters” as you said, he would have the same response to Herbstreit. Otherwise, he’s a shill.
And yeah, going 5-13 in 1.5 years sucks. As a fan, it does hurt!
But what if Marty was a hater? You can’t say “hell yeah f*ck the haters!!!....unless their the establishment, then kiss their ***” which is exactly what you’re implying and is incredibly lame.
Obviously you don’t need to be mean for the sake of being mean, but anyone in a leadership position who’s afraid to be mean is going to fail. As Steve Jobs famously said “if you want people to like you, sell ice cream”.
I’ve been in management in my career for a long time and aside from two...
Fair enough. I haven’t been there in years, so I’ll take your word for it. I can only speak for myself, but I don’t post in the basketball board because I have pretty much lost all interest to discuss our program. I watch every game still, but I just don’t know what to say other than “we stink...
All frustration and joking aside, of course we have to give Collins more time. 1.5 seasons is obviously not enough. However, I do think Gailey coached in a much easier ACC and in a college football where the haves had not quite obliterated the have nots in resources. I believe Johnson would have...
We averaged 33 points a game his last season. The offense was fine. We’ve scored 30 points once since CPJ left. I think a younger coach like Monken who could use CPJ’s players could have easily rejuvenated the program. But doners felt getting blown out by BC while running a “normal” offense was...
I’m pretty sure there’s no need to wait for the future to say I told you so. Geoff lost to an FCS team running the offense that Geoff was too good for.
The passion and excitement has been flushed from me, already. I watched the last two games in a state of emotionless detachment, pondering life’s greatest mysteries like “what the hell are we doing on defense?”
Good level-headed post. Only thing I’d say is I think you gave us too much credit for looking “prepared” against FSU and Louisville. We started both of those games down double digits, too. That is a trend that has gone on all season and last season.
