Yeah if we are making the wrong reads and there are defenders running through gaps into the backfield then it doesn't matter how good your back is. Here's to hoping we see less defenders in the backfield this year. I feel pretty optimistic about the line though (as I do every year).
The first three games are going to be huge to getting JT plenty of playing time before the real test. This is the best schedule that I remember having in a long time. Only Duke(week), Clemson(2 days), and Pitt(2 days) having extra time to prepare. Seems like a new group put the schedules...
I know that we are way off topic, but does anyone remember CPJ talking about getting Dwyer to add some weight after the '08 season? I wish I could go back and find the article talking about it. He probably wanted him to add some muscle, but Dwyer thought he meant to frequent the all you can eat...
I just re-read what I wrote and realized that it came off as angry. Sorry, its Monday and it's already been a long week.... We just a have slightly different views on how the season could go. I am always an optimist when it comes to the Tech athletics. This view usually leads me to disappointment...
Your telling me that we don't have the talent to fill Sims spot? That is about as ridiculous as saying that we will probably loose to Pittsburgh.... What in the past has shown you that we will go 5-7? I don't think that the trend over the last 17 years would suggest that we aren't going to make...
As much as I like the big plays it passing the ball could give us, what I really want to see again is our b-backs getting to the second level then trucking a defender for a huge gain.
At first glance, it seemed like to me that we were passing quite a bit more than usual this year. Looking at the numbers, our attempts the last two years have been about 30-40 more per season. Maybe CPJ was trying to transition the offense to suit Vad? All speculation at this point.
2013- 203...
Good to hear. Thanks for the info, as always, Eric. I feel like the rumor mill is going to be running wild until the camp starts... If I could fast forward to then, I definitely would. I hate not knowing who is speculating and who is actually relaying actual info...
I'm glad that the OL seems to be sticking together. I think that they could be good next year (I say that every year, but my assessments are getting more pessimistic).
I'm torn as well on if this is a good or bad thing..... And man if he was thinking about it all the way back to the Clemson game, I could see his gameplay being affected.
It's very hard to say this after that debacle yesterday, but I'll give him one more season before I turn on him. I just can't stand how many games we lost for ourselves this year. I don't know that I have ever seen anything like it. Games were handed to us on a silver platter and we refused to...
Your right about that, I remember my first semester at Tech I took a Psychology class and Intro to AE. I thought that those would be good courses to get me into the swing of things.... I got a C in Psychology and a B in Intro. Talk about an eye opener!
I was in the AE program around the same time Sean Bedford was in it. I can tell you, he didn't get much help along the way from assistants/TA's/coaches. This may be because of the major, but he was in the library many nights when I was. I often thought about dropping out of the program, I don't...
Hi! I just found out about this board a couple of weeks ago and decided to sign up. I like to follow recruiting and this seems to have the most info of all the other forums.
A little about myself:
I grew up in Lilburn, pretty much having my family as the only people that I knew that were Tech...
