  1. Miami Postgame #GTvsMIA

Well done Jackets! Always great to beat Miami. Congrats to team and coaches! Mason = baller!
  2. Disappointment

Sean’s never coaches a team, led a program, etc. just because he said it doesn’t mean he’s right. He was a helluva player for us and great on the radio. But come on, he was barely a two star. Collins wouldn’t waste his time recruiting a terrible talent like Bedford so we shouldn’t waste our time...
  3. Duke Vs Ga Tech Recruiting since 2015

Good post and I agree 100%. The question I have is do we have a coaching staff that can maximize the talent they have. Be it 3, 4, or 5 star. Cutcliffe is a dbag but a helluva coach. Can we get better results out of our players than Cutcliffe if we move a five year recruiting ranking from 49...
  4. Duke Vs Ga Tech Recruiting since 2015

So if my math is correct, the avg national rank over the five years: Duke - 48.8 Tech - 49.4 Zero difference in recruiting. Especially considering most of the *** clowns that drive the recruiting rankings aren’t qualified for it. I will concede that duke obviously didn’t change their scheme...
  5. Duke Postgame: GT loses 41-23

I hate cutcliffe. But How many passes did duke throw in the 2nd half? Again I won’t watch a replay of this but it seemed to me they decided to burn clock and try to run down our throats. I am the biggest 3O fan there is but did see some positives and don’t want to kill our kids. They worked...
  6. Duke Postgame: GT loses 41-23

So Mason and Howard, really good jobs today. RB’s as a whole need a bigger role. (No duh right?) Brown looks pretty damn good. Get him the ball more. Defense? Struggled in the first half even before our O couldn’t sustain most drives. OL? Ouch. Seems like we went away from a lot of...
  7. Duke Postgame: GT loses 41-23

I actually saw a lot of positives today but come on, duke could have put 60+ on us today if they wanted to. Easily. There isn’t that big of gap.
  8. Production from last year

Regarding loss of offensive production this year if CPJ stayed - look at our history reloading the scheme. These were our top producers in a four year stretch: 2012 - Tevin, Orwin Smith and I believe Jeff Greene. (Though really godhigh was our best receiver IMO) 2013 - Vad/JT...
  9. OC Hire

The flip side of this is that he was apparently so bad at coaching the team UCF paid him $700k to leave. Key as OL coach with other responsibilities like run game and recruiting coordinator could make a lot of sense for Tech. I don’t want him calling plays though. Saban has had him on staff...
  10. OC Hire

Just curious, do the recruiting rankings of coaches go back to Key’s time at UCF? If you look at the top 20 on the recruiters list, they are all essentially clemson/SEC/Big 10 factory schools plus one or two misc schools. In fact, I believe I could be a top 20 recruiter at Bama. If some one...
  11. OC Hire

I actually follow LSU football pretty closely due to a good friend/former grad/LSU athlete. Canada and Orgeron were polar opposites and ended up hating each other. Orgeron dabbled a little in the offense and Canada is a bit of a control freak. (Plus LSU has had qb recruiting issues over the past...
  12. OC Hire

This is exactly what I’m thinking. I do believe this staff in place will already recruit better but we aren’t ever going to be at Bama or Ohio St level. We won’t be able to just roll out players and win on individual talent. If it was that easy, Florida state and Miami would be winning the acc...
  13. OC Hire

Again, without Darnold they dropped to 382 yards per game and 82nd in total offense. USC always has offensive talent. Doesn’t this worry you? Edit - they were 90th in scoring offense, 48th passing offense. Maybe I’m being too hard on them but this doesn’t exactly inspire confidence in me.
  14. OC Hire

Other than recruiting ability is there anything else about Tee Martin that excites people? He was named OC at usc and inherited a first round nfl qb and incredible talent on line and receiver. After losing Darnold to the draft usc looked awful in a mediocre conference. Martin may be a great...
  15. OC Hire

Splits and the fact our lineman set up in a 3 pt stance hurts our pass protection more than many realize.
  16. Are you pleased with the hire (poll)

My favorites were Satterfield and Monken but thought Collins, Brown, and a few others would be good choices. Now he just needs to surround himself with a quality staff. CPJ has left a strong foundation for Collins. IMO no need for a step back at all, I have high expectations.
  17. Potential Head Coach Hires

If Todd didn’t interview multiple candidates (remember, he said numerous coaches have reached out since the announcement) he’s not done due diligence. I prefer Monken but think Collins is a good potential hire, but has Todd “swung for the fences”? Has he put in calls to Gus, Urban, Gundy, Ryan...
  18. Georgia Tech Bowl Projections

Hey, at least our AD has been working hard in the CFP committee. He obviously didn’t do crap for our bowl destination.
  19. Spring Practice

Stop screwing up my argument with facts! :D Originally had a longer post that described Quinn’s 4-3 under defensive style to show some 3-4 similarities but got tired of typing on my phone.
  20. Spring Practice

I don’t disagree about the OLB statement but there are 3-4 defenses that do have smaller DE’s. Takk McKinley is a good example. NFL.com has him listed at 6-2 250 which is very similar to Anree. (I do think he played at a bit heavier weight for the Falcons though) Vic Beasley played DE his...
