No, the number of people that subscribe is what matters. For example, if you pay for Youtube and buy the package that has the ACC Network it doesn't matter if you watch or not
Isnt everyone in a similar situation due to the free year? The next 3-4 years will have some serious transfer portal action across the country as factories start cutting players to make room for recruits. We probably will do so too
WVU still brings nothing to the table financially. No matter how often 3 posters claim they do.
WVU has zero shot at becoming a member of the ACC unless for some reason a Super Power demanded they join with them. That would be Notre Dame, Penn State, Ohio State, or Michigan. ND isn't going...
Collins has said that individuals on defense played well last year but as a unit they need a lot of improvement. That's about as negative as you'll ever hear him get but he's acknowledged the defense sucked. Hopefully as we've gotten bigger and better on the DL and with the addition of Eley we...
If you can get guys for 2-3 years through the portal it's absolutely a great recruiting tool. The 1 year guys should be to fill gaps only for that year like we did with the kicker from Tennessee (or to help our OL/DL while the recruits and getting bigger from high school)
It's other coaches saying it. Most of it is true except the recruiting part. I think we are miles ahead there. And the general tone of that was will GT be patient with Collins because there is improvement being made?
I couldn't care less about academics of the conference. I'm saying WVU brings absolutely nothing to the table except dividing an already small pie with another mouth. It's amazing how some cannot recognize this after previous rounds of expansion and numerous explanations of it. It has nothing...
Where is ESPN going to push 10-12 ACC schools, or whatever the number is to break the GOR agreements? They are either going to the SEC, the B1G, or not giving up the GOR.
Correct. We should be trying to merge with the B1G and their network deal. It gives them more markets and more money and aligns us with a great super conference. It also eliminates options for ND.
The only holdup is the academic side and the AAU stuff for the B1G presidents. They can't...
Basketball doesn't matter in terms of TV money. If we want it to matter, then we need an SEC football like basketball contract for the ACC. And more control over the NCAA post-season tournament where we can place more teams in there, pocket the media money. Then it would be beneficial to go...
Curious if and when they play UNC, Duke, NC State or even Wake Forest on the road. I got some hard core Loyal McQueen fans that want to see her play in person again.
I don't think we're getting Penn State but for fun, PODS could be:
GT, Clemson, Miami, FSU
UNC, Duke, NC State, Wake
VT, UVA, Louisville, Syracuse
ND, Pittsburgh, Penn State, BC
Fine with either move.
We've talked about a ACC-PAC12 merger this week but an ACC-B1G merger is even better. Unless the B1G is taking FSU, Clemson, VT, and NC State too they will all end up in the SEC.
