Again, it is a perfectly fine opinion. If you really want to base your argument that better recruiting will lead to better results (along with the new qualification that CGC needs to hire better coaches I notice), you will need to show how CGC has improved recruiting averages at his various...
You are making the assumption that we only win games which were close with the current offense we are running... Had we made the decision to emphasize the fact of our outstanding rushing attack who know how differently games may have turned out...
To be completely accurate, CGC doesn't have to rebuild from scratch either.., We were a 7-6 team last year... Choices have been made, that may or may not pan out in the future, which have almost certainly cost us games this year...
So here is an interesting argument -- our current coach can't win football games when there are fewer than 40K fans in the stadium and his recruits are ranked below 40...
Not certain how well this one will go over...
OK - your turn to get picked on :) Don't just say his logic is dumb.. Explain why it is dumb... For example: CPJ inherited a 7-6 team which lost its bowl game, and won 9 games the next year... CGC inherited a 7-6 team which lost its bowl game and won 3 games the next year.
Of course the...
And here we have a classic example of an ad-hominem attack... "You can't be a Tech man if you don't agree with me so we should all disregard what you say" There is actually a very easy argument to counteract what he has said, but I leave it for you to see if you can figure it out. :)
No I understood what you were saying. You have an implicit assumption in you statements, though. You are implying that "Since CGC is going to be here 3 more years, we should not be criticizing him." This is a patently false assumption - every decision he makes as a head coach for the rest of...
And there it is -- "Agree with me or go away!" Have you ever considered that, by definition, someone posting on this site must be a RABID GT fan. If that person is posting something that you don't like, have you ever considered that they have a different opinion which leads them to have...
Hey I get that you feel the need to tear down our previous coach in order to build up our current one. CGC doesn't have the resume and doesn't (yet) seem to have the in-game coaching chops we were really hoping for. And there are reasonable criticisms to be had. No one disputes that CPJ never...
I know, the book is very slow for the first 150-200 pages... I almost put it down myself. Once the author finishes building his world though, his book is really good...
I'm going to call bull**** on this false narrative. Did CPJ steal your girlfriend or something?
He regularly took the blame for bad losses by saying that they did not do a good enough job coaching.
I think the only way it is that close is if they pull their entire starting offense and defense at halftime to keep them healthy for the SEC championship game...
If they don't pull the starters, I see this game as something like 63-0. If they do pull their starters at half, then I still see...
Here's one thing I really do like from the article though:
“One of the darkest nights in this program’s history,” Canes coach Manny Diaz called it — and that didn’t sound like hyperbole. “That’s on me.”
