Smelter ranks up there with my favorite players ever at Tech. His attitude is probably his best feature. The guy let his play on the field do the talking for him. He laid some nasty blocks on people, out willed defenders for the ball, and had a nose for the end zone.

10-4, hopefully he gets it cleaned up and is able to play next fall. Will he have to stay on the scout team in the spring too?

Do we know if he passed all of his classes? Thinking about this, even having him on the scout team has made us better overall.

Who bad mouthed our OL?

One big improvement has been that our QB hasn't had defenders in his face directly after the snap. I'm not sure if we changed a scheme to eliminate that or if our OL just improved, but whatever happened it has worked. That was extremely frustrating to see the last couple of years.

That is the type of guy we want as a Tech SA. Come to Tech for the sports and education. Love it! Getting a degree in ME is not easy, especially when you throw in football practices/games.

The pain that this offense causes the opposing team is a beautiful thing to watch. If you are unprepared at all, Tech will gash you (Syracuse). As JT grows into the system we will get even better.

Me too. I worked my but off probably pulling an all nighter or two per week to graduate with a 2.8... That includes my near perfect GPA at Clemson...

Would love to see him play in the OB. Was really excited about him before he was ruled ineligible. Really shows what kind of character he has to stick around, light it up on the scout team, and have the possibility to play in the bowl game.
