  1. Rutherford Staying at GT

Guess this is how the game is played now. Glad we've hired the right folks to work with players . If this was GT before Key, we probably wouldn't have the resources to keep players like this. Everything is a negotiation now
  2. 2024 non-GT games thread

What really showed this weekend is the disparity from the teams that are historically 1-5 in the old system, vs teams that aren't. Cfb has to make up it's mind if it's strength of schedule, overall record, or quality losses that matter most. By pure record SMU and Indiana belonged in these...

SMU and Indiana, two teams with great records but don't look like they are competitive at this level . Strength of schedule at play here ND vs Penn SMU vs Indiana Would have probably been better matches
  8. Rutherford Staying at GT

https://ramblinwreck.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/11/Transfer-Information.pdf From 2018, but this a good read from the University on the requirements to transfer out As far as incoming transfers that's a little hard to find. I do no for typical undergraduate students, to initiate a transfer...
  9. Rutherford Staying at GT

I agree. The problem is universities also have requirements on when students must transfer for spring classes. My thought still is that either cfb needs to adjust schedules to push the season start earlier / bowls earlier OR move the portal to spring time .
  10. Rutherford Staying at GT

I just wish all this portal stuff happened after bowl games... It's making them meaningless now
  11. Romello Height is in the portal

Does anybody else think that discussions need to be had on when the Portal transactions take place? I get that universities have a requirement for students and athletes to be transferred in for spring semester to start However, with bowl and championship season going on right now while portal...
  12. Romello Height is in the portal

A commitment to a school means nothing now. Seeing how he has transferred twice now, makes me think there needs to be limits how how many times you can transfer, or that players need to sit for a year. I'll keep saying it, the portal is going to ruin college football. Transferring every year or...
  13. Singleton to Portal

2 million at that age is crazy, I hope they are teaching these kids about finances... And how to wisely use that money
  14. ACC Bowl Discussion

I said the same last season From the schools perspective, they want students to be fully transferred by the time the semester starts, I get that However the way I see it is that the NCAA and Universities haven't figured out how to work with the portal on scheduling. Either we need to start the...

  18. Screw job part 2: Bowl selection

Agree. Yeah there are better bowls , but at the end of the day we didn't win the big games we should have that would have gotten a better bowl.
  19. Screw job part 2: Bowl selection

Bham would be more beneficial for the fan base
