We need to get more support from the Alumni Association and their Roll Call. They are the one who get all the billions of dollars, and they don't support the program as they should. And CPJ is not the problem. He is what keeps us as good as we are on the positive side.
Without CPJ,we would have had much more heartache. With the lack of support our program receives from the school, The Alumni Accoc (None from Roll Call), and the high brow student body, we have done well over the CPJ era. And I love the offense, not the Roof defense.
In a report today, the stats were given for the first two games. I was particularly interested in seeing that Hughes has been in both games for a total of five shutout innings. I hope he can regain the ability he had before his arm problems.
Were you pro or anti Ross in 1987 and 1988. I got into heated arguments every game we lost when our "fans" wanted him fired. I always said "he hasn't forgotten how to coach, he has no players".Today, many of the stars of the 1990 team would not be admitted to GT. We are doing very well with CPJ...
The football gods thought we were playing VPI on Thursday night. That is why we had all the rain on Thursday. Hope they don't hit the target day for next Saturday in Durham.
But Ross would not pick us over the NFL any day. I appreciate CPJs loyalty to our program, and he is one of the best coaches in college football. And he wins with the burdens of GT hanging around like an albatros.
Yesterday was a perfect football Saturday in my opinion. We were able to play on a dry field and got a big win. We are very limited by wet and rainy conditions.
The second reason for the perfect day was that Ugag was exposed by Auburn. Ugag has been vastly over rated by playing a bunch of...
I was not surprised at all by losing to UVA. I have been up to that horrible place a number of times with us having the better team, and most of the time we lose. We have won twice since 1990 when we beat #1 Uva to propel ourselves to the National Championship.
I'm just really depressed by what has happened to a team that deserves much more. We've lost two games by one point, just bad breaks. We've lost three games that the field was unplayable and really screwed up our offensive system. With any good luck at all, we would be 7-1 and enjoying the ride...
Clemson has lost three games in four seasons, and has lost one home game in four seasons. Guess what, we aren't the only team that has trouble beating them!
If you ever go to a baseball or football practice, you will note that many of our athletes park their bikes outside the arena, either Chandler Stadium or BDS. I shudder every time I see them, such a risk to losing people to injuries or worse.
If I had George Soro's money, I would give about $20B to GTAA, and buy off the academic side. We would have a great team!
Seriously, Stansbury needs to get us out of this "play Clemson every year" scheduling situation. It makes our schedule the toughest in the league every year. Clemson, Bama ...
