  1. Jimmy's and Joe's

Yep, 'twould be nice to have such 'crootin' fortunes. As for our scheme's effect on defensive 'crootin I have no opinion because I have no data.
  2. Jimmy's and Joe's

Read whole post...point was we AREN'T Ohio St....we have to compete with their likes yet we have to have develop our guys.
  3. GT vs Pitt depth chart

MLD's versatility is why I thought he was such a steal recruiting. A real skill athlete. He can play anywhere and I think need will dictate where he ends up. When Searcy is back and the WR's hopefully mature/get better, Justin is going to have a lot of targets. IMO we miss searcy pretty badly...
  4. GT vs Pitt depth chart

I think so too. He's got that center fielder experience that makes me feel really comfortable back there catching punts. Need sure hands and a good decision maker who can play the ball well in the air for PR. As far as return yardage, I think he'll be able to consistently get us positive yards...
  5. Jimmy's and Joe's

Having a small number of seniors hurts. First, it's simply a matter of not having guys around who have been in S&C for 4-5 years. Second, the older kids will have more mature bodies biologically. Third, they will be more mature and mentally tough/especially at GT where academics harden you...
  6. GT/Pitt

I have to admit I really like Narduzzi as a DC. Loved his defenses at Michigan State. So far he looks like a good hire for Pitt but we'll see. Probably they are the only other Coastal team I like, although likely it's because we haven't established a rivalry with them yet. Maybe I will hate them...
  7. GT/Pitt

One thing is for sure...we've not even come close to playing our best game as a defense, as an offense, or on STs. Gotta go out and do it.
  8. Nick Chubb injured

Hate that. Good back and fun to watch, even if he is a pup.
  9. Is the bowl streak salvageable?

I think it is unlikely given how consistently poorly we've plaid in the ND, Duke, UNC, & Clemson losses. The streak is cool and is good publicity. I personally don't think it is critical as a program as evidenced by lots of other great programs who don't have a streak and do just fine.
  10. Recent news give me hope against Clemson

Obviously it would be sweet if we could have all death marches and keep Clemson from running a lot of plays as they like to do. The problem is we are not blocking things consistently enough yet this season to put together reliable grinding drives. Consequently we do need to hit some big plays...
  11. FIlm Study - Offense vs UNC

    Fair assessment.
  12. Season's Effect on Recruiting...Or Not?

I want to point out that kids pick a program for a lot of reasons. On the injuries thread, a couple of posters said they felt this season may really hurt our recruiting if it continues to be a bad season. Do you think this is true? I am not so sure after watching recruiting for years. I do...
  13. Clemson Game

We became a good team last year. We were pretty shaky at the beginning. Every week guys looked at the film, practiced hard, and fixed what was wrong. IF we can do that this year and not get down/feel sorry for ourselves we can AGAIN become a very good football team. We just have to keep our...
  14. UNC Postgame

It is interesting to compare the start of '14 with the start of '15. I agree we are not making the plays. There are other things going on as well: 1) NO BAILOUT OPTIONS at WR/AB to extend drives. In '14 our offense started off pretty poorly but had some good bailout receiving options at AB and...
  15. UNC Postgame

Very common mistake on deep routes to let up. If he did slow he will learn.
  16. UNC Postgame

Texas would be insane to fire Strong, IMO. He cleaned house there in a big way and it's going to take some time.
  17. Gotsis targeting

Gotsis won't play the first half of Clemson either, right? Also, this is Gamble's second straight missed game from the concussion. The more a concussed guy misses the more nervous I get. Hope it isn't too serious. Great kid and an important part of our DL.
  18. Everyone Please Read This

No analysis or reasoning offered and repeat offenders go straight onto ignore for me.
  19. A Different Perspective

I guess it's silly to let your team know you still have big things to play for after 2 straight losses they might find disheartening.
  20. Looking for bright spots - Butker

Clinton Lynch looks good as a receiver and is shifty. I like our young talent.
