With the early signing period you have to have your coach in to recruit. At this point you can't sit back and wait and hope that there will be any kids not locked up after December 20th.
Jimbo has already made his decision. There is no reason to allow that smoke to keep building if there is actually no fire. Jimbo could have come out a week ago and said he isn't going to Texas A&M.
If you are into Netflix originals, and it sounds like you are, everyone should check out Mindhunter. It is about FBI agents and Serial Killers from the early 70's. Excellent show.
Roof will not be fired until after the early signing period (if he is at all). Almost all assistant moves are made after signing day to make sure their commits get locked in. Roof has been instrumental in a lot of our defensive recruiting we won't be risking losing those kids.
I can buy they didn't think it was illegal, but there is no way in hell that a major college head basketball coach wouldn't have known it was against NCAA rules.
@kg01 has it. Bama has probably reconciled themselves to the fact that they are going to get hammered once everything comes out anyway. So, might as well go out swinging and play the kid.
We on the other hand are only looking at this small number of games and it is in our best interest not to...
I wasn't complaining just stating Adidas already makes GT polos. I could care less what he wears just win ball games and don't embarrass the institute.
Ok, I just checked the schedules since '08 or when CPJ arrived and we are 8-5 coming off of a bye week not counting season openers or bowl games. Two of those 8 wins were against Miami.
I really don't think the weather is going to be that big of an issue. It is projected to rain but looking at the projected amounts it should rain less than an inch total over the next 3 days. Miami plays on an NFL field in South Florida that has excellent drainage, field conditions won't be a...
I am anxious to see what Miami really is. So far the best team they have played is Duke, their other wins are Bethune-Cookman and Toledo.
I don't think they are nearly as good as their ranking, I see this as a "the U is back" type of hype, which we have seen before.
I'm betting we get the 6 day option on the game time. If Miami beats FSU it sets up an battle for the coastal as whoever wins between us will be in the driver's seat.
NCAA and NBA should just shift to the Baseball model and all this would not be an issue or at least a smaller issue. To the few guys that are really good enough to jump straight from High School, let them. Everyone else has to go three years to be eligible for the draft though.
I would just like to state that we know the school is Miami and the speculation is that it is Nas. However, Miami currently (or before yesterday more accurately) was in on 4 different 5* players and a bunch of high 4* guys.
I think Lynch is on the Depth Chart as a decoy. CPJ has said several times that we may only play 3 A-Backs in game one. Quay, JJ, and Cottrell would be those 3. I don't think we would want Lynch out there if he hasn't practiced.
