I hope that was supposed to be sarcastic!
There is so much talent on that roster AND Diaz was on the coaching staff with Richt so he had a hand in building this team!!
Not sure what the outside receiver is doing on the QB power run. It looks like he is just sitting there waiting on the DB to block himself. It is out of the frame at the beginning of the clip so it is hard to tell what he was thinking.
Also on the vertical/switch route, I think you nailed it...
I think if you watch our team you see flashes of greatness from almost everywhere but you also see a lot of mistakes likely due to a combination of youth and coaching transition. I will say I don't see much potential currently on the field for OL or DL but there are playmakers almost everywhere...
Quick review of the class disbursement on the chart:
Starters (last week):
Sr: 3 (13.6%)
Jr: 5 (22.7%)
So: 10 (45.5%)
Fr: 4 (18.2%)
Total ATL:
Sr: 8 (13.6%)
Jr: 13 (22.0%)
So: 17 (28.8%)
Fr: 21 (35.6%)
Nearly half our starters last week were sophomores. Also, the upperclassmen (Sr & Jr) only...
I didn't take it as a shot at the last regime at all. I took it as him stating how uncommon it is to get that many tackles and trying to give praise to Curry. All your stats show how good of a job it still is. Yes there were players that had great tackling performances through the CPJ years but...
It says #compete with the M being represented with the crown. It is all a part of CGC "Competition is King" mantra. They use the crown everywhere. In this video it shows it on the back of the helmet and on top of the GT on the arm sleeve. They also use it on a patch to identify the captains each...
Agreed he has a cannon, just needs to work on his touch passes. He had one on a scramble that threw to a guy maybe 10 yards away with about as much power as that one he threw 50 yards. Needless to say the receiver was not able to hold onto the fastball....
I completely agree that our OL is depleted due to a multitude of factors. My comment was directed toward the "our o line being asked to do allot of what they are not built for/good at" comment. Yes, they are not executing well in large part because we are having to piecemeal a line together but...
You mean block??
It is not like they are being asked to throw a pass or run a route. They are being asked to identify and block their man just like every other OL in the country is being asked to do.
I loved CPJ and felt he was great at in game adjustments. The idea to let ugag score as mentioned earlier was brilliant. I remember watching that play screaming at the poor effort in tackling only to realize a little bit later how brilliant it was (even if it didn't help). However, to say "He...
Those injuries are killing us right now! We were already thin at OL and losing those 4 is a tough pill to swallow.
As to the healthy scholarship players not playing...
I can understand why Jump would not play since he is way undersized at 275 and played TE in high school. I would think that...
Nope it is not just you. I had the volume all the way up on my headphones and could barely hear. The last few they put out with the coaches were great audio including all the media asking questions which has been an issue for a while. Not sure what they changed when they brought in the players.
