I watched the game. I don't think we got tired. We built a big lead by aggressively taking the ball to the basket and beating them silly when they pressed us full court. After building the big lead we took our foot off the gas pedal and stopped being aggressive trying to take time off the clock...
If you should be pissed about anything it should be your interior players getting out rebounded by 22. It looked more like 52. Get a few rebounds and you might not have to worry about a refs call at the end of the game.
I disagree. I know for a fact many of them do read the message boards having had a son who was recruited in a different sport. And those that may not see something have friends that are quick to point out things they read. Regardless, I just feel the most important part of the message was a...
But the chance of an offensive rebound on a 3 point shot is probably higher than getting the rebound on a 2 point shot. Three pointers often bounce much further from the basket increasing the chances for an offensive rebound. Not sure how that factors into the analytics above.
A talented young man commits to play for us and instead of congratulating him or welcoming him on board you choose to obsess over them calling us a university. Sorry Joshua. Welcome to Tech. We look forward to seeing you play and wish you well during your time on campus.
If you play 19.3 minutes per game and take 8 shots it means you are averaging a shot every 2.4 minutes. So if he missed EVERY shot he would only play in about 2 and a half minute spurts which is difficult to gain any kind of rhythm. Obviously he didn't miss every shot so he was often playing...
Is it fair though to compare an entire year to just a few games. Having only played a few games one or two bad games can really skew the numbers. I'd like to see the comparison at the end of the year. Without looking it up, however, I have to believe we are averaging more points per game than...
It shows what a difference a good head coach can be. I remember an interview with Reeves earlier in the year and the interviewer asked him what he liked about CDS. Reeves replied by saying something to the effect that CDS let's them play. He said he doesn't have someone looking over his shoulder...
I haven't noticed the men having trouble breaking the press this year. And from what I have seen they do the same thing having a big come up to half court then dishing it out to the wing. Maybe I missed it somehow but when did you see them having trouble with the full court press? Not being...
Interesting that the new roster still has Schmolke on it as well as Romano. Also they only listed Jones as a pitcher unlike others such as Diamant who lists as both pitcher ind infielder or Stanford who lists as RHP/OF. At DH will we go with a power bat like Stanford or Craska or Sabbathia? Or...
I totally forgot about McGuire. I agree, if healthy he should play a major role somewhere. I would think he could compete for one of the weekend spots.
The only #1 seed to lose was Stanford who lost to Texas. Stanford joining the ACC next year will make the conference even tougher. We lose Pimentel and Manyang. Both D'Amico and Otene are seniors but I think I heard somewhere that Otene will return for her Covid year. Not sure about D'Amico...
With Schmolke's exit let's play the way too early game of guessing our starters. Let's pick one weekday starter as well as the weekend rotation. Also throw in who you think our closer will be. Here is my way too early guess.
Friday - Terry Busse - we tried using him as a starter late last...
The guy is shooting 40% from three so he hasn't done terrible in the few minutes he has played and they haven't been garbage minutes when he hit those shots either. Plus, unless you are watching what happens at practice how do you know he doesn't work his *** off to get those one or two minutes...
While I agree that the return of Terry will give us a chance of adding another scorer to the lineup, I am more excited about what it will do for our defense. Then, instead of having guys like Reeves and Kelly playing 30+ a game, we can lower the individual minutes down to the 20's and spread...
They don't play the same position so no he is not getting minutes over Abram. Abram's minutes have gone to George. Abram will see some more time but right now would you want to break up the team chemistry we have seen since George began starting?
I think you are doing a disservice to our recruits if you are going to compare their success to transfers. Keep in mind most of the transfers we are taking in have received 2-4 years of development and growth at their previous stops which gives them a big leg up on incoming recruits who just...
