I think we may run more option and quick passes than some anticipate. May have to for several reasons including 1) to help line out - option gives you an extra blocker 2) our skill people are good at it 3) Qbs and receivers may not be ready for a down the field passing attack. 4) To stay away...
I don't agree with you on this. I, for one, think Oliver will start but will agree Johnson is close. Graham has a chance but in my opinion is highly unlikely.
I understand what you are saying about the new OC's leanings and agree. But Tobias is such a good and tough runner that if he can read defenses and hit the short passes that may be good enough to get him the starting QB spot. He definitely has a chance. Coaches have been clear that Johnson...
The article is well written. I didn't pay much attention to the projections. I know some of you don't agree but CPJ won some big games and his offense was an equalizer but was accompanied with mediocre defenses as the writer states. I only watched one Temple game - that being against Duke -...
I hated to see Fedora go - but it was inevitable. It's hard to recruit when others will say he will be gone soon. He's had previous success and can coach but it's going to be a battle to defeat the naysayers recruiting against him. I guess his selling point will be he won a NC.
Not as up to speed as the rest of you but Brown at WR was definitely impressive in Spring game as was a young European DE who may need redshirting. He made a play down the line that is what we are looking for. Who was that?
Thanks for posting. Tre was playing pretty darn well late last year. The coaches began to get comfortable with at times putting him on an island one on one which is tough for even the best cornerbacks in the nation. I expect him to play very well this year.
I liked Marshall and I think CPJ did as well. He just felt Mills was better and from what I saw, Mills was better. Marshall was very fast and when determined, like in the UGA game, was strong as well. He did not pass block well. Mills was strong as an ox all the time. Never took a play off...
I think Benson is better than the other guys. He started in front of them for a reason and he made All-ACC for a reason. Those other guys have not sniffed All-ACC. Benson loss is disappointing and would like to know more why he is transferring.
Why is Benson transferring? Disappointing - two players - maybe our only two - who had made All-ACC - have left or are leaving. I was looking forward to seeing Benson last yer and broke his leg in first real game. Was sad at game in Tampa. Looking forward to him coming back, but no comeback...
PREACH IT!!!!!!! AMEN!!!! And well said. I can see how some didn't get him but I loved him and he was an offensive genius and winner. His record will be more respected as time goes on.
I want to see better linebacker play from both player development and talent wise. I am not an expert but from what I have seen, the LB play has made me question if we were properly coached. Bad first steps as mentioned earlier were way to often, but I guess a coach can only do so much. I...
I agree - did you guys not watch the Temple bowl game against Duke? They spread it out and played very fast. Same offensive coordinator - they're going to do the same thing here.
GMan is ok with me - I can disagree with him sometimes and he is a little bland but that's ok. Bonner is a babbling - I told you so. I can do without him.
My favorite is Dakich when he does announce the ACC. He is an acquired taste but I really think he makes the most observant comments of...
1. can he and his staff coach?
2. We just got rolled over our last two games and made to look slow and small - not a good combination - is that going to continue?
