Thomas also did this on a 4th and 19th in the first game in Ireland against Boston College. I was at the game and was fearing doom and gloom. And then he made a 22 yard completion. He was probably the best pure passer during the Johnson era.

I also worry about Georgia St. Traveling back from Ireland against a school where this game means everything to Ga. St. and they have a transfer QB from GT who will know our offense's plays extremely well. Whether we win or lose against FSU, I think this game has a lot of risk.

Honestly I would be fine with 7-5 and this schedule. It is a killer that you give up 2 home games in Ireland and Mercedez Benz against FSU and Notre Dame. I think that makes both of those games much more difficult.

It also might keep FSU and Clemson around if their revenue substantially increased. One big difference is when the Big 12 Media Rights renew vs. ACC. Part of the rationale for the Big 12 is a potential bump in TV rights in 2031 vs. having to wait until 2036 with the ACC.

Clemson is the only super Regional host to not get to the College World Series. The other 6 series (3 ACC, 3 SEC) made it and UGA still has a chance to make it 7 out of 8 Super Regional Hosts winning. The latter I am obviously NOT rooting for.

Big 12 will not be too weak next year. Phoenix, Salt Lake City, Denver, Dallas, Houston, Cincinnati, Orlando. Not as big as ACC but not shabby.
