So, I see how this is going... FSU shows up, plays the game, and gets the paycheck. BUT the game is over before halftime and TV ratings drop off the chart. Advertisers are pissed, ESPN is screwed, and FSU doesn't really have to care one way or the other.

Um...I was thinking that WE, collectively, might vote on players that we feel contributed most to the team's success this year. Sort of a thank you to the players, but also a way to promote the forum with a little public relations "buzz".

Just thinking out loud... What if we were to poll the forum at the end of the year (like now), and designate an Offensive Player of the Year and Defensive Player of the Year? We could award a plaque to each winner and everything. Waddya think? Pros? Cons? Interest? Value? (Cost?)

On the flip side, FSU may have benefitted from extra recruiting power by being in one of those conferences.

I think I started at 7-5 and dropped to 6-6 after Bowling Green. Miami unexpectedly covered that loss. Then I dropped to 5-7 after Boston College (UVA and Syracuse were Nos. 4 & 5). I expected we would lose at UNC which was highly ranked at that point. I certainly didn't expect a bowl victory...
