Tell me this isn't true - Byerly injury

I'll say this, if he left with just a sleeve on his leg it doesn't appear to be too serious.

    Clemson W/R Injured

I just read that Mike Williams did sustain a cervical fracture and may be out the remainder of the season. No cord involvement thank goodness!!!! I hate it for him but I'm glad it's not worse than it is!

Notre Dame will not be a cake walk . . .

I'm going to say this. This Tech team can play and win against anybody on the schedule. I've already posted this elsewhere but it bears repeating here. ND looked good and fast against a very bad Texas team that is coming off a 5-7 season that included 5 blowout losses in their 7 losses. Texas...

    Who's going to South Bend?

I watched, ND looked good but that was against a team coming off a 5-7 season that started 3 true freshmen on D. One dimensional O with a statue for a QB. Texas is still a "name" but that is a bad, bad football team. I would put Texas in the same category as UVA and maybe not that good.

    Texas vs ND.

Texas was 6-7 last year and got blown out by BYU, Baylor, K State, TCU and Arkansas. Lost to UCLA and Okla as well. They are not a very good team not taking anything away from ND but this had blow out written all over it despite it being TX.

    Texas vs ND.

That's what I'm seeing, lack of athletes across the field. It's shocking how far they've fallen!

Does Tenuta still coach the UVa D?

Yes and he didn't have a clue today

Those at the game your thoughts on the good crowd?

You know, I'm one of those gray beards and I was there to the end.

I think it was just a bad direction on the snap and hurry to get it down. Lapse in concentration? Probably but Rodwell shouldn't have those ;)

I took a look when I watched the replay, it was snapped to the inside of the holder and he didn't get a good grip on the ball.

Boomer, your write up flows with much of what I saw. I want to go back and watch the A backs a bit more and focus on what you commented on. One thing I did take away (and mentioned) was the crispness team wise for the fist game of the year! Work to do, for sure, but most of what I saw will be...

    GameDay Comments

Not too surprising :D They are going to remind him every day about ball security! I wasn't overly concerned about the fumble, he got tomahawked pretty well and I'm sure he's learned from it but a reminder or two never hurts!

Offensive Line Play (one game in)

From watching at the game last night and the video today Tech has a very very solid 2 deep on the O Line. The starting 5 did exactly what you would expect and I was very pleased with what I saw from Klock and young Will ;) When I saw them come in the game I made sure to keep a close eye and was...
