  1. Dwyer Interview

Well, if that doesn't work try poverty. That will surely do it.
  2. Mills update

    Overtime?
  3. Paul Johnson Zings Kirby Smart....and raises a question

Bobby Dodd, from whom all great GT football flows, routinely quick kicked and went for FGs on third down, as have other coaches so it is nothing dramatically innovative or different.
  4. Wake Forest Has Found Their Mole

I read that Army AD Corrigan affirms they have been contacted regarding having possession of Wake Forest football information from a former WF coach, then radio one of its announcers. What is clear is that Louisville had it. Their AD confirms it, but then claims they didn't have to use use it so...
  5. Paul Johnson Zings Kirby Smart....and raises a question

I'm trying to figure out your backhand here.
  6. Dwyer Interview

As I remember he was rostered at 225 Johnson's first year and Johnson wanted him there. He put on at least 10 pounds the next season and for some reason said Johnson wanted him heavier. Not a good move.
  7. Paul Johnson Zings Kirby Smart....and raises a question

We ran it against Georgia, I think, in '08 or '09. Converted tight end to tackle -- Barrett ring a bell? -- he caught it and immediately decided he was Swivel Hips Malone and didn't get the first down. Johnson was about as mad on the sideline as I've seen him and the poor kid was lucky to...
  8. Paul Johnson Zings Kirby Smart....and raises a question

It's hard enough at Tech to get a QB who can throw. Never mind the A backs.
  9. Paul Johnson Zings Kirby Smart....and raises a question

You are right about part of it, but Smart said they practiced against the play "all week". That'll teach 'em.
  10. Paul Johnson Zings Kirby Smart....and raises a question

i believe that at least at all major programs a strict limit to practice is observed, with a log of those permitted to enter kept by the guard on the gate. And other than open practices, nobody else is admitted.
  11. Paul Johnson Zings Kirby Smart....and raises a question

Once upon a time I would have laughed at the black helicopter reference, so to speak. But that was once upon a time. You're right.
  12. Wake Forest Has Found Their Mole

I think you are on the money. I am just guessing he has coached his last game?
  13. Wake Forest Has Found Their Mole

Wake Forest has a problem. In a real world Louisville would have a bigger one. But, it is Louisville and the NCAA, which by god is gonna catch those college players taking $389 worth of sports wear and punish all severely...
  14. Southern going after Coach Bryan Cook

11 You know, while a ot of us disagree, simply not liking this offense is enough reason to want something else. If one does not appreciate it, doesn't understand it -- they won't understand any of the others, either, but they see them more often and so they must be good -- and wants to be rid...
  15. Southern going after Coach Bryan Cook

Maybe net time remind him Johnson won two national championships, and with three teams running his offense this season, all three are in bowl games.
  16. What can we learn from Army vs Navy?

Great get and worth the read. Thanks.
  17. Question about a past coach?

Know nothing about his football tenure at GT but from friends in Washington who knew him there in social settings -- a weekly poker game -- he could be an arrogant jerk on occasion.
  18. What can we learn from Army vs Navy?

Don't think we'll learn much from the Navy side. They ran from the shotgun all day and according to the Navy beat writer in Annapolis ran almost exclusively the zone read. Seems odd but maybe with all the injuries it is how they simplified the offense. Coach "N" -- sorry -- went no further than...
