    We're #1

Agreed. I think after the Miami game we will have a better idea of how good or bad we really are.

Coach Paul Johnson's Press Conference 9/17/2013

I am a big supporter of the NCAA doing what it can to preserve the safety of players. However, cut blocks in the open field when they are 1 on 1 (not engaged with another lineman) are fair and safe. If they want to add another rule change for safety reasons then I say stop players from picking...

    Confessions (Vad's Hope)

I see what you are saying and yes I could see this occurring. I am optimistic though in that hopefully if will happen in the 1st half of a game and Vad will let himself relax and trust the system, then come out in the second half with a different approach. I could be wrong but I see VT...

Your Fave plays in Duke game?

I don't know about you but I had a feeling the death march drive was coming at the start of that 3rd quarter.

    Introduce yourself

GT fan since birth. Have loved the Jackets and loathed the dwags since day 1. Not a Tech grad but wish I could have been. My entire family is also all GT. My father is a die hard GT fan and has been supporting them since the Dodd Era. I remember my 5th birthday getting an unwanted uga...

    Looking ahead to UNC

I think one of the biggest factors in this game will be Time of Possession. UNC running the hurry up will give us the ball more. I'm hoping that due to this the UNC defense will be worn out by start of the 4th quarter.

For those that remember... CPJ has done what he said he would. Tailor his offense around the strengths of his QB skill set. Vad says it himself, he is more comfortable with the reads out of the pistol. CPJ just upgraded our recruiting by doing this as well IMO.

this is a dive wrinkle. probably a zone dive a that. which switches up the blocking scheme for the o-line.

It is the weak side guard that pulls. Watch the first play from these highlights. 13 second mark.

    CFB Daily

Vad is impressive running and throwing. But his touch on some of his passes has really impressed me personally.

You gotta believe that when Shaq Mason is coming at you with a full head of steam its scary to say the least.

    Throwbacks

We always wear white on the road. And we are one of the only teams that wear white at home too.

    Diamond Formation

We are. It is a guard that kicks out. This play is somewhat of a mix between an off tackle, guard pull, and read option combined. Except on this particular play the read is inverted. If the DE crashes then Vad gives to the sweeping a-back. If the DE stays home then Vad keeps up the middle...

Your Fave plays in Duke game?

I loved Vad's 1st TD pass to Smelter. He threaded the needle.

The Diamond or Pistol Full House as some call it, was deadly yesterday. The read option to the outside was actually an inverted veer. It was very effective. It also appeared that it opened up the passing lanes more as well in comparison to flexbone passing JMO. I was impressed with how much...
