  1. What if this happens...

This is a good analysis except that each of the "will not be favored" teams is beatable. None of them, in my estimation are the caliber of either Clemson or Miami. Pitt, UNC, VPI and UGA are all good teams but have issues of their own that can be exploited by our team. Of the "should beat"...
  2. Replay Study: GT Offense vs Miami

Holy mother of God how did that happen? I guess its back to sending the plays in by committee. Even knowing our signals did not keep them from getting gashed in the running game.
  3. Replay Study: GT Offense vs Miami

I know this is akin to rank heresy but I am going to say it anyway. Mills very much reminds me of some of the better UGA tailbacks we have faced in years past. You know, the ones that we would hit and seemingly have stopped and they would plow ahead for that extra yard or so. Not the fastest...
  4. What if this happens...

Unacceptable? 8-4 is probably the best this team can do. I think we will be looking at .500 or 7-5 as more likely scenarios. This is not a very good team especially on defense. On the other hand, we are at 3-2 and frankly, this is not a schedule that is that overloaded with great teams...
  5. ACC??

Yes Yes No We are nowhere near good enough to compete for the title.
  6. Paul Johnson's job

He is not going anywhere. Besides, I thought the offense played pretty well today. I know the turnovers were the difference, but at least they moved the ball much better than against Clemson. I have said it a million times but I am going to say it again: RECRUITING EMPHASIS NEEDS TO BE...
  7. Paul Johnson's job

I appreciate the fact that a parent is willing to endure all kinds of garbage just to make a few very valid points from his perspective. The idea that Tech is NOT willing to do the things necessary to attract 4 and 5 star talent is telling. That would be, I assume, "bag men", girls, classes...
  8. Execution

Well, the times are definitely strange. In the old days, a 7 point lead was better than a pond full of catfish. Now, you got teams like Ole Miss and Florida giving away 21 point half time leads. The offenses definitely have the upper hand in most college games. The really elite teams have...
  9. Execution

Well, they are not doing it to my satisfaction. That's for sure. I want us to get in Kaaya's grill and put his tail on the ground. If we can hit him a few times, he just might start unloading that football a little bit quicker.
  10. Miami Predictions

I have little, if any, confidence in our secondary being able to cover the U's receivers for longer than about 2 seconds. Similarly, I do not think we can get pressure with the front four. I am going with Miami say 31 to 24.
  11. Our Offense

Someone better informed can address this. My understanding is that he could not get along with the AD at the time Debbie Yow who has pretty much been a disaster everywhere she has been (like NC State right now) but also the aforementioned recruiting problems with Penn State and Virginia Tech...
  12. Our Offense

Your arguments are very good. It should be noted that in O'Leary's time, the administration was much more football friendly than the one now. Your points about recruiting are spot on. We are in a recruiting hotbed but struggle to get above about 45 or so in the rankings. Until something is...
  13. Our Offense

That is true. My point was that if we tried to throw the ball with the hurry up offense we would regret it because as Boomer has stated our roster is not made for that. I know we have the route trees from Coach Johnson's Hawaii days and all that but we have not had the quarterback to make that...
  14. Opinion question about the GT offense going into 2017

I don't think it matters much who the quarterback is if we don't start blocking better. Come to think of it, some wide receivers getting separation in man to man coverage would be kind of nice as well.
  15. Our Offense

Well Boomer, I don't even have to look at the numbers. The way things currently stand the only way we can be competitive is through the triple option. Loosen up the curriculum, pour more money into coaches, recruiting and the other things discussed ad nauseum then I would do the spread option...
  16. Our Offense

I don't think the defensive scheme had anything to do with it. Having 300 lb defensive linemen who can run like a SOB had a lot more to do with this latest debacle. Not to mention linebackers that were athletic and utter disdain for our wide receivers which permitted them to cheat a safety up...
  17. Clemson Postgame

Agree with "ballin' Clemson has a good chance against the Cards but Watson has to play better and it will likely take more than 26 points. That line gives the Tigers a chance in any game. They are just that good.
  18. Clemson Postgame

This is probably the second time Dabo has called the dogs off on us. I wonder why? To be sure, this is the best Clemson team I have ever seen especially on their defensive line. Fast and strong with an attitude. This is what happens when 3 stars go up against 4 and 5 stars when the ahem...
  19. Will Clemson be more aggressive than BC and Vanderbilt?

I think you can count on it. They will play fast and aggressive. Let's see how it pans out. If we can get it to the fourth quarter we can win. If it is a blowout more than likely they will be doing the "blowing out" so to speak. I think we can beat them but I would not bet on any college...
  20. ultimate disrespect

Made up nonsense. No one on our team has been threatening to take out anyone's knees. The idiot probably believes everything he reads on social media.
