    USA Today early top 25

The same guy who did this too early top 25 for USAT is the same dude who did his grades for all the FBS programs. He gave UAB an A+. That, plus making Auburn No. 2, is enough to not give this yay-hoo any credibility.

    Final 2014 AP Poll

Hard to argue with the teams ranked ahead of us. Still think Georgia needs to be lower. They were two-TD favorites and got beat in their own house by a team picked to finish fifth in its own division of a conference everyone belittles.

Nice video with Derrick at beginning and JT toward the end...

It would be better if they actually showed Derrick Moore giving his speech. But having PJ fire off his broadside toward the SEC at the end was not bad.

This has now become my favorite Tech picture of all-time.

    Next season: team leadership

JT and Jamal are the obvious ones. Can't forget PJ in the lockerroom after the Va. Tech game already quoting Jamal, "We ain't done nothing yet. And we can play soooo much better." D.J.'s play and his preparation - Jamal's too - speak volumes about the work ethic. Wonder how many teams are going...

Glad Barry Switzer Enjoyed the Show

PJ used to tell me his offense would work in the NFL. I told him he was out of his (bleeping) mind. He'd go, no, because of instead of spending $10 million on one dropback QB, spend $3 million each on three option QBs.

    We just...

Listened to PJ's pregame interview before the Georgia game about a week or two ago. He said the offseason personnel losses got rid of some of the "complainers." I was wondering if anyone else heard that too.

CFN Thoughts on the Orange Bowl

Yeah, guess JT's 1k-plus passing yards and Waller/Smelter combined 11 TDs receiving just aren't any kind of dimension.

    Sav'h Morning News

Dennis Knight does a good job with preps. Don Heath does Southern coverage better than anybody. With their corporate sister in Athens, they get all kinds of Georgia coverage for free. Tech? Que?

    NFL prospects on this Team

Didn't McShay just have Isaiah and Waller among Tech pro prospects, at least that's what was on the crawl during the Orange Bowl? Which means no Mason. That's just stupid. Dude is a monster. Guards aren't as valuable a commodity as tackles in the NFL draft, but still, he's gone up against NFL...

    Mark Bradley at it again...

I would rather have had Schultz do the column on Tech. At least he doesn't come off as pseudo-erudite like Bradley tries to do on occasion. I was OK with what MB wrote.

    Looking Ahead - OL

If O'Reilly does move on - and I'd hate to see it happen, since didn't we recruit him very hard in the first place before he signed with Auburn? - wouldn't almost have to be an FCS team?

    Michael Carvell

Oy this stuff is painful. Does he believe anybody out there cares about this? I have my misgivings about social media in that it is a global Hyde Park and everybody has a soapbox to get on at the same time with the world as your audience, but I really couldn't care less what Carvell says about...

    CPJ Saturday practice notes

Bear in mind he probably has a quota of stories, blog posts, whatever, per week to fill and injury updates, roster moves, i.e., are prime material for quick hitter type of posts for the Web and print. And it also fills an information hole. Fans want to know who is out and who might play and who...

    CPJ Saturday practice notes

Ken does OK. I think he's pretty smart without acting like he's smart and I think he truly tries to understand the process of the program, from the offense to the standards they have to meet. If PJ has a problem with information getting to Ken or Ken getting information before PJ has given his...
