    Man, that's where you and I don't see eye to eye. I'd MUCH prefer the certainty of knowing they were going to have to go 75 yards than sweat trying to make them go 85.

    Football outsiders is one of my favorite internet sites. Also, I have to think that having Butker with his increased leg strength, will help in that regard (it's nice to ALWAYS make the other team drive the whole field)

    my point wasn't that Messick's hit was a bad hit. My point was that "targeting" is an awful rule.

    Did anybody comment on the super weird play at the end of the 3rd quarter, where the horn blew, and half the players stopped, and Justin threw an interception into double coverage?

    You know, I love that hit, but it's pure BS that that is a legal hit, but cracking a WR over the middle is a penalty. The emphasis on offense, offense, offense (driven by the NFL) has really taken some of the enjoyment out of the game for me.

    I want to say those mid 90's Nebraska teams used to do this all the time. They'd run TO action, but the dive would be a pure fake and he'd take outside the playside DE, and Frazier would run double option. Then occasionally they'd run a called dive.
