Tenuta is over rated by the Tech fan base. If he was that good he would not keep jumping from job to job. Bud Foster, John Chavis and Pat Narduzzi are great defensive coordinator. Tenuta is second tier. I would take Wommack back before taking Tenuta back. I think we have the right guy once...
He is a kicker therefore by default he is a head case. He has earned his schoolly for his kick offs if nothing else. He just needs to get his head together and kick with confidence on the field goal attempts. He can do it. The question is will he do it. We may have to find another field...
Chubb is a 5 star running back with a 1 star brain. This will probably be his swan song and UGA is going to get every thing they can out of the kid before he has to take his first finals. Leggett is 2 / 3 star that needs some seasoning and experience. Looks like he is going to have to learn...
Roof is the best recruiter on our staff. Give him some time. He will get the guys we need to be a good defensive team. He is trying to make chicken salad out of chicken stuff. We just did not match up with UNC on the defensive side of the ball. Neither did Notre Dame. I think our guys will...
I think PJ has told Roof not to give up any more big plays, in other words long touchdown passes. As a result we play to keep everything in front of us and do not take many chances . We never jump the outside route and play the run to limit the QB and as result we let the RB's have too much...
Our defense is not that bad. We need for our offense to do their part as well. Too many unforced errors on both sides of the ball. If you want to watch bad defense dial up Baylor, TCU, UCLA, UNC, etc. There are a lot worse defensive teams out there than our Yellow Jackets!
Go Jackets!
The uniforms were the highlight of the day. We actually looked like the great Georgia Tech teams of old. Too bad our play did not quite match the splendor of our wardrobe. We need to stay with that uniform going forward.
Go Jackets!
Definitely was not our day with the zebras. You would think as the home team you would get at least a couple of calls. Just went along with our less than stellar play and turnovers to seal our fate. Like Coach said, we have to play clean to beat any body on our schedule.
Go Jackets!
I think you have to stick with your starter as long as you think he can go and he still wants to be out there. This game was part of the learning process for JT. He is going to get banged up playing the QB position in our offense. Playing through the pain is part of becoming a great player...
Yeah Byerly played very well. He filled his role and did his job. He was definitely one of the highlights of a day that featured a lot of negatives like penalties. turnovers, poor offense and at times poor defense. We just can not make that many mistakes and expect to beat any body.
Go Jackets!
You have to be an idiot to hold that guys position. If we finish undefeated and beat FSU in the ACC Championship we are going to the 4 team playoff. Even a totally biased, SEC buffon should realize that. Whoever that guy is just displayed he does not know s*it about College Football or the...
Yeah all the 680 talking heads are now having to hedge their bets on Tech. They are beginning to think that the ultimate worst case scenario might just be a possibility. Tech beats Georgia and wins the ACC championship and goes to the final 4. Oh my God! That would wreck their world. You...
Why we could have just have easily brought in Snoody. Fact is we are playing the guys we have that give us the best chance to win. Laskey is that guy and Synjyn is a servicable replacement when Laskey needs some rest. You can't miss what you never had.
Go Jackets!
William Bell was wearing the classic Georgia Tech football uniform on the SI cover for the Virginia vs. Georgia Tech game. Gold Helmet, White Jersey with appropriate stripping and the classic Georgia Tech gold paints with appropriate stripping.
Go Jackets!
You must remember that Miami beat Duke fairly convincingly. Duke has played a schedule similar to ours. I think they are missing a couple of guys from last year that really were difference makers. In any event, if we play well we should beat Duke. Our biggest issue now is staying humble and...
Very astute observation Lexjacket. It's always amazed me that Domino and Shapiro have been able to stay employed in Atlanta. In Newark or Philly maybe but Atlanta, I just don't get it.
Go Jackets!
