Miami should be below GT. They play in a rented stadium. Clemson's Death Valley is over built and fans in the upper level are not involved in the game. I would rate VPI over Clemson. I would rate Lakewood Stadium over Wallace Wade.
If Chimedza came in as a true freshman and played great defense, that would be super. A defensive player that young would certainly energize a fan base in much need of a defensive hero. But as someone mentioned, we need a DB to be the breakout player. Maybe Ajani Kerr is that guy. Camp has not...
If I was CPJ, I would put Coach Andy McCollum and Coach Shiel Wood in charge of recruiting Robertson. Just my opinion, those guys have the talent to get the job done.
We're in late June and I'm starting to get the football burn. Oh give me a defense that we can be proud of. A defense that gives Tech fans confidence that we can stop someone late in the game. Please let Coach Woody and the 3- 4 defense be the answer. Maybe some unknown player that had been...
We have two offensive line coaches. One for the tackles and one for the guard box. Both were retained. Two defensive coaches are gone from last year. I don't understand why the offensive coaches get a pass for some of the performances we've seen. Maybe one of the offensive line coaches is...
This what I expect:
With an upgrade in defensive coaching, the defensive unit should be improved and the fan base will get energized with their performance.
Since CPJ did not make changes in the offensive line coaching staff, he must be satisfied with their performance. We need to see...
I don't know how much tennis he was playing, but one does have to wonder what was Dodd's vision for Georgia Tech was around the early 1970s. We surely weren't headed in the direction of becoming the Notre Dame of the south. Dodd had been the AD and head football coach since the 1950s. Tech...
Dang, you made me look that up.
I have to agree Dodd wasn't much of an AD. Remember Tech basketball and the pre-historic baseball stands (can't call it a stadium). Love Homer Rice, but he didn't get us into the ACC. It was Doug Weaver who moved on to be the AD at Michigan State.
Hate to say it, but the stadium name only means something to 50 to 80 year old GT fans. The current name is not making money and that is something we need. Going on, the GTAA has been blind to the many people who have moved back into the city. They've got to figure a way to open up, make it easy...
I like this idea. I don't think there ever was a tour of the indoor practice facility when it opened. I've always thought that would be a great place to have Fan Day.
Tech baseball needs a Pastner type coach without the Pastner drama. Someone who can recruit and get the fans lining up to buy tickets. I like Stansbury, but I feel that he has taken a step backward on this one. Or maybe part of the problem is that we are trying to raise millions of dollars for...
