No doubt about the service academies.....when you went there you had a six yr obligation to the service.Remember Pete Dawkins,Roger the Dodger,Joe Bellini(yeah missed his name) and Mr Inside and Outside etc.....it is still hard to figure out how they got those players year in and out during...

Bunch of folks had problems beating Bama but go back and look at the scores.....tech was very competive vs Bama even in years they won the NC.No doubt Bear got what he wanted and it was so much easier to cheat back then but Ole Grey Fox would hold his own. Both Bear and Dodd had so much in...

Agree with you and folks forget that until about 61 Duke basketball was second to the Devil football team and yes Stanford and Ivy schools were schools who viewed football as a second level sport.....not that way now at Stanford and Duke seems to be coming back.

Yep young lads may not like this comparison but Dodd did it all.Tech had it all their way for years. He didnt like playing Miss or MSU due to game receipts their and folks forget that at one time Grant Field was one of the largest stadiums in the SEC.Also Dodd ran a fun offense that was exciting...

DOdd would win in any era.it is still blocking and running and tackling. And syrup mouth could charm and high school senior to go to tech.era is different but a hc must be s le to outfox the roadblocks in front of him.it is very clear we need to go outside the state to get results.

Well money has to come from some where ? It would be a awful day for the West Standers no doubt so.........maybe they give more to the program.I can remember when a ticket at a tech football game was a real great deal...now we watch tv.

Hope you are right...seems to me a kid with a indication of wanting a good education would like the Atlanta area since jobs should be plentiful here for good educated folks.Of course you have to get in first and you ,as a recruiter ,will have to go to cold weather places where you should find...

Just my two cents but attendance at football games and bb games fuel the program. If we start winning big and get some fun in the game we will get more fans to Grant Field. It is tough though when you have to spend money on all the other programs that do little to help themselves.

Folks GOL aint coming back to tech.........look he can win seven and folks think he can walk on water. He has a home on Lake Oconee and is sixty plus years old.He has gotten a new stadium and his legacy at CF is safe.He will stay there until he retires and then Ralph and Him can talk football...

Agree but for arguement sake ....if he took Georgie he would feather his bed since its been five yrs coming.I dont know ....four hours with a AD is kind of long but if the air is cleared then maybe we see some results........what say ye ? Not so sure we will get a top tier guy and many programs...

Sure would like to have been a fly on the wall with the four hour meeting last week or so..yeah we will on paper or rather win loss wise be probably 8-4 but unless we start whipping the big uns.....2015 could really be a tough one.
  14. Hot seat

Should have been clearer.Want to see and agree it can be done but have no idea who the big uns are any more with big pockets or points of influence on the Hill.Would like to see the field evened up.
  15. Hot seat

Well we have beaten this Hill horse to death and still no relief.Yeah who ever keep winning seven and losing five etc and losing to Ga will go through the crucible with the fans and yes, same excuses will be played over and over and over. Sure hope we do get right folks on board since it looks...

You are right about Chan and his lack of qb........if he has one with the talent he had he would have been set for a long time at tech.
  17. Hot seat

Well with exception of Lewis we pretty much keep folks for six years..Now I see your point but hope to see improvement this year in year seven.

Naw cant be done since it would water down the institutions degerees........again bet Ga folks ,the Doctors and Lawyers etc could care less what kind of a degree Gurlye gets or even if he gets one.Would be nice though.
  19. Hot seat

Yeah this is probably a bridge too far but I do think the AD after four hours must want to see something improve.........
  20. Athletes Read on A 5th Grade Level

Me either but your post is spot on.I dont think a football players education vs a graduate has many guys upset. We know that many many of them are not going to graduate or build bridges .Cant thing of a Georgie MD who has anything bad to say about the grades or classes a football player takes at...
