I am not a fan of Tech's (Sewak's) philosophy in recruiting O linemen. It's almost impossible for an O lineman to get an offer from Tech without coming to camp. Since there is only one camp/year it really limits the pool that can be seen. This has to change to open the door to more options!
I don't know how many of you know but on the subject of recruiting did you know that Tech was the first school to offer Nick Chubb? How would you have liked to had him at B Back?
I agree with you in that it has been surprising, the O is tailor made for a top flight dual threat. IMO it's not the O that is keeping QBs away but more of the traditional issues faced by Tech in recruiting. Going back and looking at the QBs offered shows me that PJ and the coaches are doing...
Yes I saw it and I also so his video. You seem to think that a service academy is the equivalent of a D3 school. History is not repeating itself, these last 3 classes are showing that from a pure talent standpoint. I'm sure the ONLY reason this dual threat QB is not considering Tech on the O...
Your argument was Tech is recruiting against Air Force and Wofford, don't walk it back now that you've been shown to be foolish.
'15 I'm not even going to address if you don't know what happened that season you don't follow Tech football, 9 wins in '16 and a mixed up '17 being a handful of...
Quit trying to put words in my mouth. You assertion was garbage based on facts. I'm not sure Tech has ever had a top 3 class in conference, so?
As to the classes of '16, '17 and how '18 is shaping up, yes I am happy. If you're not you're blind to the talent being brought in.
This...............On point #3, that is the soft bigotry that lives in our public school systems today and social culture. Many kids have been told their entire lives that they aren't smart and need to be good at sports to have any hope of getting a scholarship.
I've seen this over and over...
Thanks @ATL1 for posting LJ's videos. I had forgotten just how smooth LJ is. He can spin the ball and there were a couple of deep corner routes where he shows wonderful touch. He is QB through and through, just one that can also run with vision and smoothness. Definitely not a RB playing QB...
Great quote from Coach Patterson!
"I was a front coach for many years before I became a secondary coach. There is nothing worse than a secondary coach who is always worried about getting beat deep."
