No it isn't a dig, but he talks about all of VT and Miami's good players by their numbers and how good and talented they are. With duke, its " they won't beat themselves". Sounds like he doesn't think we will have much trouble athletically.
Well PJ hasn't really been the most gracious either. Always WTTE of "they're Duke" whenever asked about them.
But Cutcliffe must be pissed. He is this NFL QB guru and he constantly gets his *** whipped by a "HS offense". It must stick in his craw....and I love it.
Just don't give them the traffic. The writing is superficial predicting before the fact and rationalizing after the fact. There is a reason we have women college football bloggers, and its because most of it is guess work. The blog is basically a gossip rag for the ACC.
With the sort of access...
He will line up 6 yards deep like every other MLB and scrape to the motion side every time. He will be a tough blocking assignment for our A backs. I think we may see some misdirection to keep him from pinning his ears back. I also expect Miami to play us more "straight up" alignment wise, so...
17 and 52 will be a handful. Chickalo didn't really stand out. Their corners look tiny.
OL lost a few guys. Hopefully they keep with the pass happiness. They averaged 6 plus per carry on the ground. We have our hands full in the trenches.
On Duke's side they have Cash and that's it on D. I...
This year? Yes. I'm not so sure long term. Just look at South Florida, who many people wanted to invite a few years back. Fritz has stayed 3-4 years at a lot of places. I could see him leaving for a bigger program if they win the Belt a few times.
People don't remember the endless "what's wrong with AA" threads that year early. Then he went off. I don't think he is AA in RB skill, but I still think his best football is ahead. The more JT goes off, the wider the lanes will be up the gut.
I thought Laskey had the best game of his career...
99 Uga game. You had to be there to know what I'm talking about. God himself jarred that ball loose and Chris Young picked it up. Much like yesterday after the pick. Everyone knew the game was over.
I liked how they had the backup playing for Marshall at DT for the first series due to his bad wheel. After we knifed through them most of the drive, they put him in the game and he played the rest of the way. He ended up with 6 tackles too.
I might be wrong with this but this is what I gather...
Is this a blog though? I think most everyone here is pragmatic with a lean to the positive.
ESPN on the other hand...
Good news is we get a game recap this week, one way or the other.
I say every 3-4 years, and only home games.
It is a no win for us, but they have a strong program and give us a good test. I wouldnt give them the recruiting boost by playing them every year though.
If you're looking to blow out every OOC opponent then there will be a lot of empty seats at BDS...
Butthurt level over 9000.
I hope this sticks in their craw until 2016. Fact is, it was a lateral that they blew on the first call. The fact they overturned it was poetic justice from screwing up the original call.
This is the last I'll post on the issue, as we have bigger fish to fry. Onto the...
Hurry up if we are any good at it.
Jump balls to Smelter and Waller opposite Fayson if they play cover 0.
Have the A backs set to keep them from jumping the snap.
Hit the seam route when it is there.
Move JT around the pocket to help mitigate their inevitable pressure.
Defense needs to attack...
