9 point favorites is pretty heavy favorites. Nebraska has lost to UC Riverside (by 19!), Southern Utah, and George Mason. They did recently just beat up on Brian Gregory's USF though last week.
I am expecting a low scoring ugly game, where we pull away in the 2nd half.
I love having these seniors come back for one more year, but with an already small graduating class, this is becoming worrisome.
Will be interesting to see how Collins manages this, after all, program management is supposed to be his 'greatest strength' as a coach.
Good article, to me the state of the program is clear. Not necessarily in a good place right now, but trending up at the highest angle we have seen in years. Hopefully it continues that way this year.
I would put them into 3 tiers in terms of how much I would enjoy the win:
Makes my whole month (or more) happy
Clemson
Georgia
Miami
Makes my whole week happy
Virginia Tech
Duke
North Carolina
Pittsburgh
Virginia
Makes my weekend happy
North Carolina State
Temple
South Florida
Citadel

Really not as drastic of an increase as I expected, for all the new investment talk.
So if we are only paying around $500k a year more for the new staff, and we paid Temple $2.5m for Collins, where did the rest of the money go? CPJ walked away on his own, we didn't have to pay a massive buyout.
Auburn threw their most used RP (Anderson) 54 pitches. They didn't call their #2 bullpen arm though to replace him, lets see if it comes back to bite them for trying to save him....
I think the most important thing that can happen today (besides Tech win) is that Auburn and Coastal both chase each other's starters off early, and force a lot of bullpen innings tonight. That will show throughout the regional.
I think some people are way too optimistic. I don't see 8 wins anywhere on that schedule. 6 wins and a bowl game would be a successful season, especially if you throw in a top 25 recruiting class.
The truth is that we are small on both lines and don't have a schematic advantage anymore to...
Right. If he gets his NCAA waiver, he is playing this season. I have heard much better things about his waiver's chances than Clayton's, but hopefully we can get both.
Exactly. Kirvonte is not the RB you have this conversation with. I can think of a couple other RBs that I’m sure this conversation does apply to though. That’s looking out for everyone’s best interests.
Either stay at Tech and graduate as a student, or fulfill your dreams on the field elsewhere.
With Wells getting a scholly now, looks like we have to add another number on the list of kids to "process". ;)
I imagine this means King is going on medical. Can't see any D1 school willing to give this guy a scholarship. He can still get his free Tech education and no longer need to face the...
