It's strange.... Boeheim is well regarded among his peers. Other coaches say great things about him and they came out of the woodwork to congratulate him when Cuse won the national title. I agree he is snarky and sarcastic and I get why people don't like him. That said, his peers seem to...
for starters, we've only been .500 or better overall (not ACC) in 10 of past 20 years (including this one). That puts this year as one of the best in the last two decades.
In ACC, we've had exactly ONE winning record in the last nineteen years (9-7 in 03/04). That's it. One. Over the...
Think I may have to crank up a crowdfunding campaign to help pay for the CJP statue we need to build outside McCamish. Given the dumpster fire he appeared to inherit and my incredible low expectations for this year's team, I said Tech should build a statue of CJP if he got Tech to the NCAA...
I love Boeheim pressers. In most post game, the reporters ask blah "questions" (Side note for sports reporters, "Your team seemed to have trouble scoring tonight." is not a question. It is a statement. Most sports reporters struggle with that concept.) and the coaches give the same...
I've seen lines of even up to 1.5 either way. I never would've believed this if you predicted it in December.
I'm actually getting used to crow after eating so much this year.
@orientalnc interesting info....
Crean to State would surprise me, but not complete shock. He succeeded at Marquette which has some parallels to State (decent program with occasional flashes of greatness in a really good conference - old Big East - and a fan base that is crazy about hoops)...
I'm definitely an Izzo fan. Think he's one of the best coaches around. Wicked sense of humor, too. That said, this is not an NCAAT team this year. If they get in, it will be on SOS (though mostly losses against good teams) and reputation / brand name
No face printed on mine either. I backed into it based on what they cost as a season ticket and then allocated cost to OOC, UGAg, ACC and UNC/Louisville. Came pretty close to what ticket office sold individual games for.
Your MasterCard quote is the best line on this thread!
Cuse game is huge. Enormous. Bigger than that. Win and we are still in the conversation. Lose and we are on a razors edge.
Show up early. Be loud. Give the team the extra energy to get another big win at home!
@Peacone36 You gotta get to know Julian. Good dude. I've got several bottles of 23 and 20. Paid retail but not the insane prices people are asking now.
Face for tickets in the midcourt 100s (mine are in 101) are $100 for the ACC games. That includes the pro-rated Tech Fund. Callaway Club is $150.
I sold my NFC championship tics for over $2,000 each.
You can't get a ticket to an ACC game at Duke or Carolina (assume same is true for...
@orientalnc .... we could charter a Beneteau or Island Packet (44 or 51 is nice) .... think brent over the Sailing place in Beaufort has a couple in his fleet.
@orientalnc you got sails or power? If sails, we should plan a sail out to Ocracoke. Drag @Peacone36 along. I'll bring Pappy and Cubans. 23 year if we make NCAA, 20 if we get to NIT semis)
Good times when the wind is blowing 20 knots on the Neuse or the Ocracoke / Lookout / Beaufort...
Face value on the tickets is $100 per ticket, plus the Tech Fund "donation". If you get a ticket for less than $150, the person selling it is taking a loss on the sale.
This is the "downside" of Tech playing well. tickets will start selling for a reasonable price. You can't get tickets for...
Hey @CuseJacket .... StubHub has a pair of tickets on the floor next to the Orange bench. Section 114FL. Watch the Jackets and sit 20 feet from Boeheim?
Saw on another board .... how fun would it be if State hired Dan Majerle away from Grand Canyon? I doubt Thunder Dan will leave the valley of the sun, but it would be good theatre and I think he would put an entertaining product on the court
