Watching BC just fold at the end of this FSU game, bring on the Eagles!

    ACC Tournament

It is seven games in two days either way. You would just play three of the first round Tuesday and four of the first round on Wednesday. I would have the bottom 3 just not play in the tournament. I know that isn't popular.

I think Syracuse is a better match up for GT. BC is a permeter-oriented team and GT only has 3 perimeter players. Syracuse struggles to score at times.

Arrests coming due to college bball kickbacks

I'm no expert on this but if I were representing one of the fired coaches I'd be trying to keep him out of jail rather than bringing other people in to keep him company. There isn't a clear case of breaking laws here IMO. NCAA rules are obviously not laws. Going to lunch with someone isn't...

Well this pretty much puts a fork in yet another made up message board story:

Good link. Everyone else's school is non-profit so if their AA owns property they could just shift it to the school ( I would think). This is a solution in search of a problem IMO.

Arrests coming due to college bball kickbacks

If the FBI had a good case would they be dropping these daily tidbits to the press? I doubt it. They build public support when they have a weak case rather than a strong one. To clarify, there are lots of players being paid by someone. The hard part is finding what is illegal and who to...

I'd expect once they started depreciating their significant assets that there would likely be no income tax at all in all or almost all cases. As you say, the big difference would be a drop in large individual contributions. I'm not sure how anyone benefits from that. I don't know enough about...

Which tax that isn't paid by college AAs do you think they should pay? Let's assume they don't have players as employees. Which taxes do you want them to pay today?

There was no evidence linking Pitino to the strippers either. Free Rickie! Buffers. I think you are underestimating the influence of the "amateurism" narrative. The NCAA isn't good at much but it is good at selling the idea that the only way college sports can work is through scholarships...
